Overview of Research on Broadband of Dipole Antenna

2019 IEEE 19th International Conference on Communication Technology (ICCT), 2019
The methods of realizing broadband of dipole antenna are summarized and analyzed. Due to the narrow operating frequency band of the dipole antenna, in order to improve the bandwidth of the dipole antenna and improve its spectrum efficiency, the broadband of the dipole antenna is studied. This is also in line with the research trend of broadband antenna.

Design of Miniaturized Broadband Patch Antenna

Proceedings of the 2nd International Conference on Computing and Wireless Communication Systems, 2017
In this study, we present a novel type of compact and broadband patch antenna configuration. The size reduction is obtaining without changing frequency thanks to etched six slots in antenna ground plane. Indeed, the electromagnetic volume of the antenna remains unchanged even the area of the ground plane is decreasing.

Compact broadband stacked microstrip antennas

Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2005
Various stacked broadband microstrip antennas using compact variations of the rectangular microstrip antenna, such as C-shaped, H-shaped, square-ring and S-shaped antennas, are proposed. The effects of using combinations of these compact antennas as a fed or stacked element on the bandwidth, gain, and radiation pattern of the antenna are discussed ...

Broadband Double-Layered Huygens’ Metasurface Lens Antenna for 5G Millimeter-Wave Systems

IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2020
A double-layered Huygens’ unit cell is proposed to design a broadband metasurface lens (meta-lens) for 5G millimeter-wave antennas. The Huygens’ unit cell consists of a pair of antisymmetric conducting semicircle arc elements on both surfaces of a thin ...

Broadband UHF flexible vivaldi antenna

2013 Loughborough Antennas & Propagation Conference (LAPC), 2013
A novel Vivaldi flexible antenna with a -6 dB bandwidth from 150 MHz up to 900 MHz is presented. The whole antenna is realized on a 600 × 600 mm2 silicone foam substrate. In this paper we describe the design, the realization and the performances of this high gain and directive antenna.

A broadband omnidirectional antenna

Proceedings of IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium and URSI National Radio Science Meeting, 2002
Anechoic chamber characterizations and signal verifications required a broadband omnidirectional antenna. A tapered slot antenna combined with a biconical antenna was modeled and a prototype was built. Measurement results are discussed and are consistent with the requirements. >

Directed antennas in the Mobile Broadband System

Proceedings of IEEE INFOCOM '96. Conference on Computer Communications, 2002
The article investigates the usage of adaptive directed antennas for the Mobile Broadband System (MBS). The advantages and problems are considered. Solutions for the problems are proposed and evaluated with respect to cost, feasibility and efficiency. The MBS is a wireless cellular network operating at 60 GHz.

Broadband Low-Profile L-Probe Fed Metasurface Antenna With TM Leaky Wave and TE Surface Wave Resonances

IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2020
A broadband low-profile L-probe fed metasurface antenna is proposed by well exciting both transverse magnetic (TM) leaky wave and transverse electric (TE) surface wave resonances.

Broadband multislot antenna

IRE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 1959
A multislot antenna was built, of which the VSWR is smaller than two in the band of 100 to 1000 mc. The principle of this antenna is analogous to the one of pass band filters in which few modes of resonance are possible, appearing one after the other when frequency varies in the band.

Broadband Eight-Antenna Array Design for Sub-6 GHz 5G NR Bands Metal-Frame Smartphone Applications

IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, 2020
A multiple-input–multiple-output (MIMO) antenna array for broadband 5G new radio (5G NR) metal-frame smartphone applications is proposed. The MIMO antenna array is realized by loading eight identical antennas (Ant1–Ant8) into the metal frame of the ...
