A broadband microstrip antenna: SGMFP antenna
Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2003AbstractA novel structure of broadband microstrip antennas, termed the SGMFP antenna, is proposed. It is consisted of a slot in the ground plane, a microstrip feedline supported on a substrate, a foam layer, and a patch. It can achieve broad bandwidth and high polarisation purity.

Low-Profile Broadband Antenna With Pattern Diversity
IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, 2020A pattern diversity antenna with low profile and wideband operation is proposed in this letter. The topology combines a 3-D folded monopole antenna together with a differential L-plate fed patch antenna. The monopole antenna is realized by a pair of bent

Broadband Polarization Conversion Metasurface for Antenna RCS Reduction
IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2021A broadband polarization conversion metasurface (PCM) is proposed for reducing radar cross section (RCS) of antenna. The unit cell of the PCM consists of two pairs of tapered L-shaped strips, a layer of air, and a ground plane.

Apart from the sleeve monopole, this chapter discusses other broadband antennas as well, and the performance evaluation in terms of various measured and simulated parameters is also illustrated. This chapter will help antenna engineers get a better understanding of the antennas discussed and make a comparison with other broadband antennas.

Broadband Electronically Scanned Reflectarray Antenna With Liquid Crystals
IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, 2021In this letter, an electronically beam scanning reflectarray antenna is implemented using nematic liquid crystals (LCs). By loading a tunable phase shifter with a delay line structure in the resonance unit, the phase shift is achieved by tuning the ...

2008 IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium, 2008
A broadband planar antenna with stable radiation patterns is presented. It consists of a suspended radiator fed by a vertical feed through an n-shaped microstrip. The measured impedance bandwidth is 3.1-5.1 GHz for a return loss of |S11| < -10 dB, and an average gain of 7.7 dBi is achieved. There is no beam squinting across the operating frequency band.
