Miniature broadband wire antenna
2008 Asia-Pacific Microwave Conference, 2008A novel antenna composed of three monopoles is investigated first in this paper. In the frequency range 775 - 1910 MHz, the return loss is lower than -10 dB. Meanwhile the radiation patterns are omnidirectional. On this basis, bending top, fractal, coplanar, and loaded structures are applied to realize the miniaturization.

Broadband quasi-microstrip antenna
IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 1995A new printed microwave antenna is presented. The antenna is a hybrid between a wire antenna array and a microstrip patch antenna. Although the size, cost, and efficiency are comparable to the microstrip patch, the voltage standing wave ratio 2:1 bandwidth of the antenna presented here is above 20%.

Broadband stacked printed antennas
2004 10th International Symposium on Antenna Technology and Applied Electromagnetics and URSI Conference, 2004Microstrip patch antennas have the attractive features of low profile and light weight, and can be made conformal to mounting structures. The conventional patch antennas suffer from the narrow bandwidth. To overcome this problem, a two layer electromagnetically coupled rectangular patch antenna is considered in this paper.

Novel broadband omnidirectional antennas
2012 Asia Pacific Microwave Conference Proceedings, 2012Three types of novel broadband omnidirectional antennas are developed, including a circularly polarized antenna, a horizontally polarized antenna and a 45° linearly polarized antenna. All of these antennas have a bandwidth of about 30% with good omnidirectional radiation patterns.
