Broadband Diplexed Power Amplifier
IEEE Microwave and Wireless Components Letters, 2020We present a diplexed power amplifier (PA) architecture for achieving more than octave bandwidth with high efficiency. Two relatively narrowband single-stage PAs are connected with a contiguous diplexer-combiner network. The average efficiency across the larger than octave band is maintained with a flat gain response from 1.8 to 4 GHz.

Broadband Doherty power amplifiers
2013 IEEE Topical Conference on Power Amplifiers for Wireless and Radio Applications, 2013In this paper, the transformer-less load-modulated (TLLM) architecture for designing broadband Doherty amplifiers is presented. In this architecture, the quarter-wave impedance transformers of the Doherty amplifier are not used. As a result, the design will be much more compact and large operational bandwidths can be obtained.

Broadband medium power amplifier
2000 10th International Crimean Microwave Conference. "Microwave and Telecommunication Technology". Conference Proceedings (IEEE Cat. No.00EX415), 2000The results of research on a GaAs MMIC broadband medium power amplifier based on a MESFET process are presented. The calculated properties of the amplifier over the frequency band 1-8 GHz are given.

Broadband power-equalization amplifier
2012 International Conference on Microwave and Millimeter Wave Technology (ICMMT), 2012The paper presents a new method to design microwave gain equalizer with terminal open line resonators. By changing the electrical length of main transmission line in a certain range, the return loss is improved obviously while transmission parameter changes slightly.

Broadband Techniques in Power Amplifiers
2020This chapter describes the design challenge and methodology to achieve the best bandwidth out of continuous mode PAs with feasible matching networks. The bandwidth expansion scheme for load modulation-based PA such as Doherty PA and Chireix outphasing PA are also described in this chapter. In addition, for multi-octave PA design, the reactively matched

Broadband Power Amplifier Design via Fictitious Matching
IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems II: Express Briefs, 2022In this paper, we introduce a new matching concept, so called Fictitious Matching (FM), which may be defined between the artificially generated non-Foster passive immittances, namely KGF and KLF, over a lossless two-port or equivalently equalizer E. These immittances may not necessarily belong to physical devices, rather, they are fabricated like a ...

A unique MMIC broadband power amplifier approach
IEEE Journal of Solid-State Circuits, 1993A broadband monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC) power amplifier design approach is described using lossy matching networks in the form of a bridged-T all-pass network. This approach offers the advantage of exceptional gain flatness, good input VSWR, high efficiency, and small size.
