Efficient Broadcast Authentication in Wireless Sensor Networks
2008 IEEE Asia-Pacific Services Computing Conference, 2008Broadcast authentication is an important security primitive in wireless sensor networks. Costs of Tree- based muTESLA are rising rapidly with more senders in networks, which limit its use in large-scale networks. To removing such a limit, this paper presents a muTPCT-based broadcast authentication protocol which mainly rests on constructions of muTPC ...

Localized Broadcast Authentication in Large Sensor Networks
International conference on Networking and Services (ICNS'06), 2006Although TESLA can provide the crucial broadcast authentication, it also introduces some problems (such as large verification delay) that limit its application in a large wireless sensor network due to the resource constraints. In this paper, we present a localized broadcast authentication protocol, namely L-TESLA, to address these problems.

“Authentic” talk in broadcast news: The construction of community
The Communication Review, 2001Some recent assessments of public communication have demonstrated a concern for “authentic” forms of discourse in public life. This article uses a methodology derived from conversation analysis to examine different forms of public discourse in news interviews. Previous studies taking this approach have outlined the protocols for formal news interviews,

Pre-Distribution of Certificates for Pseudonymous Broadcast Authentication in VANET
2015 IEEE 81st Vehicular Technology Conference (VTC Spring), 2015In the context of vehicular networks, certificate management is challenging because of the dynamic topology and privacy requirements. In this paper we propose a technique that combines certificate omission and certificate pre-distribution in order to reduce communication overhead and to minimize cryptographic packet loss.

A Practical Inter-sensor Broadcast Authentication Scheme
2007For inter-sensor broadcast authentication in wireless sensor networks, Chen et al. proposed a bootstrapping scheme which enables to save only neighboring nodes' hash-chain commitments, much fewer than whole network size, before deployment [2]. However, the scheme lacks scalability and is not tolerant for node isolation.

Authenticating aviation augmentation system broadcasts
IEEE/ION Position, Location and Navigation Symposium, 2010This paper studies the feasibility and means by which authentication can be overlaid upon the existing SBAS and GBAS designs. It considers how to achieve the authentication that is compatible with the current augmentation system and its users. It also considers how to perform the security necessary to support authentication within the current NAS ...

Multiwavelength securely-authenticated broadcast network
11th International Conference on Integrated Optics and Optical Fibre Communications. 23rd European Conference on Optical Communications IOOC-ECOC97, 1997A WDM photonic switching network based on a broadcast-and-select method is presented. Its channel selectors feature secure access authentication under the control of the network. Three prototype systems have been experimentally demonstrated by using WDM/TDM and WDM/SCM (16-QAM and 64-QAM) technologies.
