Oleuropein has hypophagic effects in broiler chicks. [PDF]
Oleuropein, a phenolic compound derived from olives, has known glucoregulatory effects in mammalian models but effects in birds are unknown. We investigated effects of dietary supplementation and exogenous administration of oleuropein on broiler chick feed intake and glucose homeostasis during the first 7 days post-hatch.

The aim of our study is to evaluate the interaction between HS and the incorporation of PKM in broiler chicken diets, as well as its effect on growth performance and metabolism. Based on the results obtained, PKM supplementation failed to mitigate the adverse effects of heat stress in broiler chickens. ABSTRACT The aim of this study was to evaluate the

BETAINE AND CHOLINE IN BROILER DIETS [PDF]
An experiment was conducted: 1) to compare the response of broiler chicks fed diets supplemented with betaine or choline on an equi-molar basis and 2) to examine the effect of using higher levels of supplemental betaine on broiler chicks performance.

ABSTRACT Microalgae such as Chlorella vulgaris are gaining attention as sustainable and nutritionally valuable feed ingredients, with the potential to partially replace soybean meal in broiler diets. However, dietary inclusion of 20% C. vulgaris has been attempted, but negatively affected growth performance due to limited digestibility.

Response of Broiler Chicks to a Single Dose of Aflatoxin
Abstract 270, day-old broiler chicks (Peterson×Peterson) were divided into 5 groups of 54 birds. Each group was composed of 27 males and 27 females. The five groups of birds received crude aflatoxin administered directly into the gizzard, in doses of 0.0, 0.4, 0.8, 1.6, and 3.2 mg./kg. body weight, respectively of aflatoxin B1 equivalents.
