Effective Bromhexine Hydrochloride Therapy in a Case of Chronic Pancreatitis after Pancreatoduodenectomy

症例は66歳の男性で,十二指腸乳頭部癌に対し膵頭十二指腸切除術を施行したのち,4年10か月間を無再発で経過していたところ膵管内蛋白栓と主膵管の拡張を伴う膵炎を発症した.蛋白分解酵素阻害薬を中心とする保存的治療にて軽快し,経過観察していたが頻回に同様の発作を繰り返した.膵腸吻合部の内視鏡下バルーン拡張術を施行し一旦は軽快したが再び半年後に蛋白栓と主膵管の拡張を伴う膵炎が発症した.膵液の粘稠度低下および分泌量増加を期待して塩酸ブロムへキシンの経口投与を開始したところ,内服開始3か月後には蛋白栓の消失と主膵管の拡張の改善を認めた.その後,3年6か月間に渡って蛋白栓や膵炎の再発は認めていない.膵頭十二指腸切除術後の慢性膵炎に対する外科的治療や内視鏡的治療は侵襲が大きく高度な技術を要することより ...

Spectrophotometric Determination of Bromhexine Hydrochloride by Diazotization and Coupling Method in Its Pharmaceutical Preparations

A simple, fast, and sensitive spectrophotometric method was suggested for the determination of Bromhexine Hydrochloride (BHH) in its pharmaceutical formulations. The method depends on the diazotization of BHH by sodium nitrite in acidic medium to produce the corresponding diazonium salt.
