Bromination Modification of Butyl Rubber and Its Structure, Properties, and Application

Industrial & Engineering Chemistry Research, 2019
The properties of bromobutyl rubber (BIIR) are closely related to its bromine content and the bonding structure of the bromine atom with the BIIR molecular chain. We here investigated the effect of these two factors on BIIR properties.

Copper-Catalyzed Electrochemical Selective Bromination Of 8-Aminoquinoline Amide Using NH4Br as the Brominating Reagent.

Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2019
A simple and mild protocol for copper-catalyzed bromination of quinoline at C5 site of quinoline by anodic oxidation was developed, affording the desired remote C-H activation products with isolated yields of up to about 90%.

The Critical Isomerization Effect of Core Bromination on Nonfullerene Acceptors in Achieving High‐Performance Organic Solar Cells with Low Energy Loss

Advances in Materials
Highly efficient nonfullerene acceptors (NFAs) for organic solar cells (OSCs) with low energy loss (Eloss) and favorable morphology are critical for breaking the efficiency bottleneck and achieving commercial applications of OSCs.

Aromatic Bromination versus Oxidation of Indolylmalonates by Bromine

The Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2002
The reactions of 5-substituted indolylmalonates (2a-e), carrying an electron-withdrawing group at the N(1) position, with bromine in CCl(4) or AcOH are reported. These substrates undergo oxidation in competition with the well-known aromatic bromination.

Silver-Catalyzed Decarboxylative Bromination of Aliphatic Carboxylic Acids.

Organic Letters, 2017
The silver-catalyzed Hunsdiecker bromination of aliphatic carboxylic acids is described. With Ag(Phen)2OTf as the catalyst and dibromoisocyanuric acid as the brominating agent, various aliphatic carboxylic acids underwent decarboxylative bromination to ...

Plasma Bromination of Graphene for Covalent Bonding of Organic Molecules

open access: yesPlasma chemistry and plasma processing, 2014
Plasma-chemical bromination applied to graphitic materials, in particular to highly ordered pyrolytic graphite is reviewed. The resulting bromination efficiency of the plasma-chemical treatment was subject of systematic process optimization.

The reaction of bromine azide with bromine

Polyhedron, 1997
Abstract The reactivity of bromine azide, BrN3, towards elemental bromine, Br2, was studied experimentally in the gas phase and in CH2Cl2 solution. The gas phase IR spectra of a 1:10 mixture of BrN3 and Br2 are in accord with the formation of small amounts of nitrogen tribromide, NBr3 but it was not possible to isolate the NBr3 from the reaction ...

XX.—The Diffusion Coefficients of Bromine-Hydrogen, Bromine-Nitrogen, Bromine-Oxygen, and Bromine-Carbon Dioxide

Proceedings of the Royal Society of Edinburgh, 1933
SummaryA brief history of the measurement of diffusion of gases (excluding “effusion,” “transpiration,” and other processes from which data for the calculation of the diffusion coefficient may be obtained) is given.A visual method of following the diffusion of a strongly coloured vapour (bromine) into colourless gases is described. The diffusion ...

Bromination of 2-bromobenzobarrelene

Tetrahedron Letters, 1990
Abstract Bromination of 2-bromobenzobarrelene 1 has been studied. Five bromine addition products 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 have been isolated whose structural assignments were made on the basis of 1H-,13C-NMR spectral data and X-ray structural analysis. The formation of the rearranged product has been discussed in terms of Wagner-Meerwein rearrangement.

Bromination of pyridines. II. Bromination of Aminopicolines

Journal für Praktische Chemie, 1989
AbstractThe bromination of all ten possible aminopicolines 1–10 was investigated. In general, the major brominated product was that corresponding to electrophilic attack at the sites para or ortho to the amino group.
