Clinical Heterogeneity in Adult Rhinitis: Symptom‐Sensitization Concordance and Asthma Burden

open access: yesLaryngoscope Investigative Otolaryngology, Volume 11, Issue 4, August 2026.
Rhinitis symptoms and systemic allergen‐specific IgE sensitization identified distinct adult clinical phenotypes. Concordant positive adults had the highest asthma burden, whereas symptom‐only adults showed greater sinonasal and sleep‐related burden. These findings highlight clinically relevant heterogeneity in adult rhinitis.

Pediatric Mild Asthma: Bridging Current Gaps to Improve Future Care

open access: yesPediatric Pulmonology, Volume 61, Issue 8, August 2026.

Muddy Water Pneumonitis: An Emerging Occupational Lung Disease in Professional Divers

open access: yesRespirology Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 8, August 2026.
Chronic exposure to sediment‐rich river water in a professional diver led to progressive necrotizing lung injury mimicking tuberculosis. Bronchoalveolar lavage revealed Acinetobacter, highlighting a rare occupational cause of cavitary pneumonitis.

Small Cell Lung Cancer Associated With Cystic Airspace: A Case Report and Literature Review

open access: yesRespirology Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 8, August 2026.
We report a rare case of small cell lung cancer (SCLC) associated with a cystic airspace. Chest CT revealed a solid tumour component arising from the wall of a pre‐existing lung cyst. This case highlights the clinical importance of recognising cystic airspaces as potential sites for aggressive malignancies like SCLC.
