The rapid points of a complex oscillation [PDF]

open access: yesLogical Methods in Computer Science, 2012
By considering a counting-type argument on Brownian sample paths, we prove a result similar to that of Orey and Taylor on the exact Hausdorff dimension of the rapid points of Brownian motion.

On the Brownian Range and the Brownian Reversal [PDF]

open access: yesSSRN Electronic Journal
AbstractThis paper studies a novel Brownian functional defined as the supremum of a weighted average of the running Brownian range and its running reversal from extrema on the unit interval. We derive the Laplace transform for the squared reciprocal of this functional, which leads to explicit moment expressions that are new to the literature.

A modified Φ-Sobolev inequality for canonical Lévy processes and its applications

open access: yesModern Stochastics: Theory and Applications, 2023
A new modified Φ-Sobolev inequality for canonical ${L^{2}}$-Lévy processes, which are hybrid cases of the Brownian motion and pure jump-Lévy processes, is developed.

INFINITELY MANY BROWNIAN GLOBULES WITH BROWNIAN RADII [PDF]

open access: yesStochastics and Dynamics, 2010
We consider an infinite system of non-overlapping globules undergoing Brownian motions in ℝ3. The term globules means that the objects we are dealing with are spherical, but with a radius which is random and time-dependent. The dynamics is modelized by an infinite-dimensional stochastic differential equation with local time.

Is a Brownian Motion Skew? [PDF]

open access: yesScandinavian Journal of Statistics, 2013
ABSTRACTWe study the asymptotic behaviour of the maximum likelihood estimator corresponding to the observation of a trajectory of a skew Brownian motion, through a uniform time discretization. We characterize the speed of convergence and the limiting distribution when the step size goes to zero, which in this case are non‐classical, under the null ...

Consistent families of Brownian motions and stochastic flows of kernels [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Consider the following mechanism for the random evolution of a distribution of mass on the integer lattice Z. At unit rate, independently for each site, the mass at the site is split into two parts by choosing a random proportion distributed according

Mouvement brownien et la relaxation des spins dans les systèmes moléculaires organiques

open access: yesCHIMIA, 1973
A survey is given of the possibility of applying the spin-proton relaxation method to the study of Brownian motion in organic substances. Brownian motion is represented by the Fokker-Planck equation and it is connected to the spin relaxation by means of

Galilean relativity for Brownian dynamics and energetics

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2021
We study experimentally the impact of inertial reference frame changes on overdamped Brownian motion. The reference frame changes are implemented by inducing, with a laser, laminar convection flows in a column of fluid where Brownian microspheres are ...

Dyson's Brownian motions, intertwining and interlacing [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
A reflected Brownian motion in the Gelfand-Tsetlin cone is used to construct Dyson's process of non-colliding Brownian motions. The key step of the construction is to consider two interlaced families of Brownian paths with paths belonging to the second ...

Near‐Infrared Light‐Driven Zn/Au Janus Micromotors for Multiplex SERS Detection of Anticancer Drugs

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Zn/Au Janus micromotors, propelled by thermophoretic effects under NIR light, function as active SERS platforms for single and multiplex detection of anticancer drugs. Their dynamic motion enhances analyte exchange at the Au interface, reducing saturation and competitive adsorption, thereby improving sensitivity and extending the linear detection range.
