It was gratifying to see the article on hypersensitivity vasculitis seen as suspected child abuse by Waskerwitz et al.1 As the pediatrician member of a multidisciplinary child abuse team we have seen several cases that initially seemed to be child abuse and subsequently were determined to be a nontraumatic medical problem.
