Synchronous Generator With Embedded Brushless Synchronous Exciter

IEEE transactions on energy conversion, 2019
A new brushless and permanent magnet less synchronous generator is reported in this work. Contrary to traditional brushless synchronous generators that use an extra machine along with rotating diode rectifier, the proposed machine houses the main and the

Brushless Servomotors

1990
Abstract Rapid progress in power electronics, microelectronics, and modern control technology during the past three decades has made possible the use of brushless servomotors in motion control. This application can provide high productivity and improved product quality on the production line and in manufacturing systems and is the ...

Brushless exciter model

IEE Proceedings - Generation, Transmission and Distribution, 1994
The IEEE model of a brushless exciter can be found in many software packages for the simulation of power system behaviour. Yet the model is simplistic and does not represent the exciter alternator accurately. This paper describes the reasons for the inaccuracy of the IEEE representation and proposes an alternative model.

Dual Third-Harmonic-Current Excitation Principle of a Brushless Synchronous Machine Based on Double Three-Phase Armature Windings

International Conference on Electrical Machines and Systems, 2019
Traditional harmonic excitation synchronous machine can only be used for generator. One of the main reasons why the harmonic excitation synchronous machine can not be used as a motor is that the field current of the harmonic excitation synchronous ...

Brushless DC Motors

2003
Brushless DC (BLDC) motors, also called permanent magnet synchronous motors, are used in direct-drive applications mainly due to their large torque producing capability. Compared to conventional DC motors, they have no brushes or mechanical commutators, which eliminates the problems due to mechanical wear of the moving parts [68, 74].

BRUSHLESS SECTOR MOTORS

1993
The authors design a variable reluctance motor to perform the rotation of clawed-pole rotors. Starting from this singular problem and encouraged by the good practical results they obtained, they have investigated the structure in terms of motor performances for application in variable speed drives.

Brushless DC motor‐driven grid‐interfaced solar water pumping system

IET Power Electronics, 2018
A solar water pumping system employing a brushless DC motor drive is presented. The utility grid is utilised as a secondary power source. The total load demand is shared by photovoltaic array and the grid. This results in continuous water pumping.

Brushless induction synchronous generator

2016 IEEE 25th International Symposium on Industrial Electronics (ISIE), 2016
In present scenario of renewable energy generation systems, brush-less and magnet-less generators are becoming more popular due to merits such as high reliability, robustness, fault tolerant capability and almost maintenance free operation, etc. This paper deals with a brushless induction synchronous generator (BInSyG), where an induction and a ...

Brushless reluctance-motor drives

Power Engineering Journal, 1987
The variable-reluctance or switched-reluctance motor has some remarkable characteristics that make it attractive for dozens of applications. With CAD software now available, and many prototypes established, there should be few technicalbarriers between the laboratory and a number of successful niches in the drives ...

New brushless synchronous alternator

IEE Proceedings - Electric Power Applications, 2003
The HB (Haydock Brown) machine combines permanent magnet and wound coil excitation to provide a single-stage brushless alternator. It offers efficient and compact solutions for small-scale engine-driven generator requirements. The simple construction conceals a rather unusual magnetic circuit that displays complex interactions between excitation ...
