From Top to Bottom: Manufacturing Process‐Context Aware Resolution of Energy Device Electrodes Through a 3D Diffusion Generative Model

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
The application of a generative diffusion model, enhanced with a training data augmentation pipeline retaining the manufacturing process context of electrode microstructures, leads to improved fidelity of the through‐plane tortuosity factor in the AI generated samples.

Farmers' Preferences for Gene Editing Crops and Influencing Factors

open access: yesApplied Economic Perspectives and Policy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Gene editing (GE) is gaining momentum worldwide, but limited data on UK farmers' preferences hinders our understanding of its potential impact amid deregulation debates. Based on a survey of 200 English arable farmers, we employ a Latent Class Analysis and Multinomial Logit regressions to investigate current preferences for GE crops.

Voluntary Collective Action to Address Growing Agricultural Challenges in Two Countries: Experimental Insights and Commonalities

open access: yesApplied Economic Perspectives and Policy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We conducted two framed field economic experiments with citrus farmers in Florida, United States and soybean farmers in Argentina to investigate their willingness to coordinate pest and weed management efforts. Despite the contrast between these two agricultural contexts, we find striking behavioral commonalities.

Beyond Nature's Blueprint: Macrocyclic Peptides Containing Unnatural Amino Acids in Therapeutic Development

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Strategic incorporation of unnatural amino acids transforms macrocyclic peptides into drug‐like molecules capable of engaging challenging targets. These building blocks enhance stability, permeability, and bioavailability, accelerating the development of next‐generation peptide therapeutics.

Spatially Informed Feature Selection and Machine Learning in Matrix‐Assisted Laser Desorption/Ionization Imaging for Cohort‐Scale Molecular Tissue Phenomics in Glioblastoma

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
Matrix‐assisted laser desorption/ionization imaging‐based identification of reliable small molecule markers across heterogeneous glioblastoma cohorts is challenging with intensity‐only methods. We present spatially informed feature selection (SIFS), a spatially informed framework that prioritizes molecules consistently colocalizing with histopathology.

Cobalt‐Catalyzed C─N Bond Formation via Metal‐Hydride Hydrogen Atom Transfer (MHAT)

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Cobalt‐catalyzed metal‐hydride hydrogen atom transfer (Co‐MHAT) converts simple alkenes into C─N bonds under mild, near‐neutral conditions. A shared Co─H‐initiated radical/organocobalt intermediate is channeled into radical trapping, radical‐polar crossover, or radical ligand transfer, unifying hydroamination, hydroazidation, hydroamidation, and remote

The adoption of Bt-maize in Germany: An econometric analysis [PDF]

open access: yes
In this study, we theoretically and empirically investigate the determinants of Bt-maize adoption in German regions. Specifically, we ask how the regulatory framework, the farm structures as well as the socio-political environment of GM expansion in ...
