Transcriptome variation along bud development in grapevine (
Background Vegetative buds provide plants in temperate environments the possibility for growth and reproduction when environmental conditions are favorable.

A study on chilling hardiness of three persimmon genotypes by electrolyte leakage parameter
Most fruit trees in temperate regions are exposed to chilling, which causes extensive economic losses. Low temperatures reduce biosynthesis activity of plants and the functioning of physiological processes, impose irreparable injuries, and finally ...

Abstract Objective Epilepsy is a prevalent chronic neurological disorder characterized by abnormal neuronal electrical activity. The primary treatment modality for individuals with epilepsy (PWE) is antiseizure medication (ASM). The multiple potential factors contributing to treatment resistance in epilepsy may be attributed to the inability of ASMs to

Sleep deprivation accelerates the progression of MASLD and IR by up‐regulating the expression of miR‐3572‐5p and down‐regulating the expression of miR‐183‐5p in circulating exosomes, thereby inhibiting fatty acid β‐oxidation and disrupting insulin signaling pathways. Abstract Sleep deprivation (SD) threatens human health and increases the prevalence of

Relative dormancy in excised vegetative buds of Rhododendron.
Excised vegetative buds of Rhododendron cv. Pink Pearl, present in the axils of the bud scales, required light for sprouting, but no special daylength was necessary to break dormancy. Glucose greatly enhanced sprouting, but was not essential. Glucose could not replace light, but light could partly replace glucose for inciting sprouting.

Ethanol breaks dormancy of the potato tuber apical bud [PDF]
Growing potato tubers or freshly harvested mature tubers have a dormant apical bud. Normally, this dormancy is spontaneously broken after a period of maturation of the tuber, resulting in the growth of a new sprout. Here it is shown that in in vitro-cultured growing and maturing tubers, ethanol can rapidly break this dormancy and re-induce growth of ...

Abstract Background Microscopic colitis (MC) typically presents with chronic, non‐bloody watery diarrhea. Diagnosis requires endoscopy with colonic mucosal biopsies. The etiology is multifactorial, with several medications implicated, although only a few cases have been attributed to oral levodopa/dopa‐decarboxylase inhibitor (LDDCI) therapy.
