Budgeting the Impact of Dairy Investments
1979A whole farm budgeting and cash flow analysis of 60 cow and 100 cow dairy farms investing in new barn and milking facilities is reported. At medium investment levels, a 60 cow farm would need 80 cows or 15,000 lbs. of milk per cow to maintain profit levels.
