Buffer Design Trade-Offs for Single Electron Logic Gates

open access: yes, 2008
have previously been demonstrated to operate correctly for a wide range of logic circuits. Given the complexity of the buffered TLG design, the TLG and the buffer are typically designed and optimized separately.

Cell‐cycle‐specific lesion evolution rather than inhibition of double‐strand‐break repair underpins cisplatin radiosensitization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

ZASTAVĚNÉ PROSTŘEDÍ V POHYBOVÉ AKTIVITĚ OBYVATEL OLOMOUCE S VYUŽITÍM GEOGRAFICKÝCH INFORMAČNÍCH SYSTÉMŮ [THE BULIT ENVIRONMENT IN PHYSICAL ACTIVITY RESEARCH IN OLOMOUC USING GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEM]

open access: yesTělesná Kultura, 2009
Geografické informační systémy (GIS) umožňují kombinovat různé datové vrstvy zastavěného prostředí a díky tomu modelují oblasti s odlišnou mírou sídelní hustoty, konektivity, hustoty sportovních zařízení, dostupnosti služeb a rekreačních prvků.

Adaptor protein CIN85 potentiates the motility of osteosarcoma cells via the Akt/mTOR and MMP2‐COL3A1 axis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CIN85 is highly expressed in osteosarcoma, particularly in metastatic lesions. Its overexpression increases cell migration and Matrigel invasion, while silencing CIN85 suppresses these behaviors. Transcriptome analysis shows that CIN85 regulates MMP2, COL3A1, and Akt/mTOR signaling. Targeting these pathways reverses CIN85‐induced motility, highlighting

Sizing Multiple Buffer Pools for

open access: yes, 2003
The buffer area is a key resource in database management systems (DBMSs) and the performance of a DBMS is greatly influenced by the effective use of the buffer area. Current DBMSs such as DB2 Universal Database (DB2/UDB), logically divide the buffer area

Interaction of HS1BP3 with cortactin modulates TKS5 localisation, cell secretion and cancer malignancy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

Proteasome inhibitor, ixazomib prevents topoisomerase‐I degradation and reverses irinotecan resistance in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Ixazomib inhibits proteasome‐mediated degradation of topoisomerase I induced by irinotecan, thereby restoring drug sensitivity and promoting tumor cell death in colorectal cancer. Irinotecan, a topoisomerase I (topoI) inhibitor, is widely used for colorectal cancer, but resistance remains a major clinical challenge.

Clinical performance of the urine‐based TERT promoter AbsoluteQ Digital PCR for non‐invasive detection of bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A urine‐based digital PCR assay targeting two hotspot TERT promoter variants detected bladder cancer with high sensitivity and no false positives in this case–control cohort. The streamlined AbsoluteQ workflow outperformed Sanger sequencing and supports non‐invasive molecular testing for bladder cancer detection.

Stimulator of interferon genes agonist augmented antitumor immunity of osimertinib in Egfr‐mutated lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.

doi:10.1093/comjnl/bxl028 Automated Configuration of Multiple Buffer Pools

open access: yes, 2008
Database management systems (DBMSs) use a main memory area as a buffer to reduce the number of disk accesses performed by a transaction. Some DBMSs divide the buffer area into a number of independent buffer pools and each database object (table or index)
