Neoformation of bulbils in Allium porrum L. cultured in vitro
Scientia Horticulturae, 1976Abstract A procedure has been developed to obtain bulbils on stem explants of leek (Allium porrum L. cv. ‘Elboeuf’) cultured in vitro. It is also possible to differentiate shoots or roots.

Tissue culture from bulbil of Dioscorea sansibarensis
Canadian Journal of Botany, 1969The bulbil tissue of Dioscorea sansibarensis Pax., a monocot, was grown in vitro; some aspects of the growth and organogenesis are described here. The tissue, chiefly storage parenchyma, grows into callus on White's medium supplemented with coconut milk and 2,4-D. Kinetin and indoleacetic acid had no effect at the concentrations tested.
