Revealing the metabolites and in situ spatial distribution in the stems and bulbils of Lilium lancifolium Thunb. by combining UHPLC-OE-MS with MALDI-MSI

open access: yesScientia Horticulturae
In the current field of research, more research on the bulbs of the underground parts of the Lilium lancifolium Thunb., but little research on the bulbils and stems of the aboveground parts.

Advancements in Mass Rearing the Air Potato Beetle Lilioceris cheni

open access: yesInsects, 2022
The air potato beetle, Lilioceris cheni Gressitt and Kimoto (Coleoptera:Chrysomelidae), is a successful biological control agent of the air potato vine, Dioscorea bulbifera L. (Dioscoreales: Dioscoreaceae), in the southern United States. Lilioceris cheni

Agave angustifolia bulbil growth in different substrates, with doses of fertigation and inoculation with Azospirillum brasilense

open access: yesCiência Rural, 2022
: There is little information about the production of agave plants in the nursery, so this research assessed the growth in the nursery of Agave angustifolia plants originating from inflorescence bulbils, subjected to different substrates, fertigation ...

The Function of the Partially‐Opened Spathe of Pinellia pedatisecta (Araceae) as a Pitfall Pollinator Trap

open access: yesPlant Species Biology, Volume 41, Issue 4, July 2026.
Pinellia pedatisecta has a simplified inflorescence structure, compared to its congeners with highly specialized trap pollination systems. However, our study suggests that P. pedatisecta also captures and releases pollinating insects by the spathe movement during flowering season.

Conspecific density and reproductive trade‐offs govern population response to climate in a clonal wildflower

open access: yesJournal of Ecology, Volume 114, Issue 6, June 2026.
Our results demonstrate that interactive effects of clonal reproduction and intraspecific density are important contributors to plant demography and that high local density increases the negative impact of drought on population growth rates. Abstract Making predictions about the persistence of plant populations under climate change requires explicitly ...

Effects of light on the propagation and growth of bulbs of Hippeastrum hybridum cv. Apple Blossom (Amaryllidaceae) Efeitos da luz na propagação e crescimento de bulbos de Hippeastrum hibridum cv. Apple Blossom (Amaryllidaceae)

open access: yesScientia Agricola, 1995
Commercially bulbs of Hippeastrum hybridum are propagated by twin scales, which are cultured in wet vermiculite in the darkness until bulbil appearance. We showed that twin scales kept under sun light produced bulbils, that once transferred to the field,
