Rab14 regulates the transport of human papillomavirus to the trans‐Golgi network for infectious cell entry

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals that the small GTPase Rab14 is necessary for human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and plays an essential role in the transport of virions to the trans‐Golgi network (TGN). HPV in the early endosome (EE), which harbors GTP‐bound Rab14, is transported to the TGN through the switch of Rab14 from its GTP‐bound to GDP‐bound form.

Analysis of Multiple Working Vacations Queuing System with Encouraged Arrival Using M/M (a,b)/1 Model

open access: yesمجلة بغداد للعلوم
Generally, it is very common in our daily life to meet up with queuing systems. This study examines the concept of encouraged arrival in M/M (a,b)/1/Multiple Working Vacations queuing model that follows the General Bulk Service Rule.

Salmonella lipopolysaccharide‐containing supported lipid bilayers as platforms to study bacteriophage interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present robust protocols for the preparation of supported lipid bilayers (SLBs) incorporating either Salmonella smooth LPS or outer membrane vesicles (OMVs). We use a combination of quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation (QCM‐D) and fluorescence microscopy to both characterize the SLBs of various compositions and to probe their interactions ...

Relations among the Queue-Length Probabilities in the Pre-Arrival, Random, and Post-Departure Epochs in the GI/Ma,b/c Queue

open access: yesMathematics
In this paper, we present research results that extend and supplement our article recently published by MDPI. We derive the closed-form relations among the queue-length probabilities observed in the pre-arrival, random, and post-departure epochs for a ...

Maximum Entropy Solution for M^X/G/1 Priority Reiterate G-queue Under Working Breakdown and Working Vacation [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematical, Engineering and Management Sciences
The maximum entropy principle has grown progressively more pertinent to queueing systems. The principle of maximum entropy (PME) presents an impartial framework as a promising method to examine complex queuing processes. This principle can be employed to

Multi Node Tandem Queuing Model with Bulk Arrivals Having Geometric Arrival Distribution

open access: yesInternational Journal of Recent Technology and Engineering (IJRTE), 2019
In this paper a K-node forked queuing model with load dependent service rates is analysed. Here it is assumed that the customers arrive to the first queue in batches and wait for service. After getting service at first service station with some probability they may join any one of the (K-1) parallel queues which are connected to first queue in series ...

Microbiome−host proteostasis crosstalk—An emerging perspective on mechanisms and interventions toward healthy longevity

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Proteostasis and the gut microbiota play a key role in shaping host physiology. Microbiota‐derived metabolites, vitamins, and RNA modulate host proteostasis. Findings from model systems, including C. elegans, indicate microbes can either stabilize or disrupt host proteostasis.

An M[X]/G(a,b)/1 Queueing System with Breakdown and Repair, Stand-By Server, Multiple Vacation and Control Policy on Request for Re-Service

open access: yesMathematics, 2018
In this paper, we discuss a non-Markovian batch arrival general bulk service single-server queueing system with server breakdown and repair, a stand-by server, multiple vacation and re-service.

Queues with hyper-poisson arrivals and bulk exponential service

open access: yesMetrika, 1967
In this paper the time-dependent solution of a queueing system is discussed under the conditions (i) the units arrive according to Hyper-Poisson distribution withl branches (ii) the queue-discipline is ‘first come first served’ (iii) the Service-time distribution is exponential with maximum capacity ofM units being served at one instant.

Modelling stem cell differentiation related processes—A practical overview for biologists

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Stem cell differentiation is complex and difficult to control experimentally. This review introduces suitable computational modelling approaches that can support stem cell research, from mechanistic ODE and abstract models to multiscale and deep learning methods.
