Burgers-type empirical creep model for unsaturated soil considering matric suction
Reservoir bank slopes are often in an unsaturated state due to water level fluctuations and atmospheric precipitation, which can easily trigger landslides. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a creep model for unsaturated soils that accounts for matric

In this article, we consider the flow of a Burgers’ fluid of transient electro-osmotic type in a small tube with a circular cross-section. Analytical results are found for the transient velocity and, electric potential profile by solving the Navier ...

Density Matrix Renormalization for Model Reduction in Nonlinear Dynamics
We present a novel approach for model reduction of nonlinear dynamical systems based on proper orthogonal decomposition (POD). Our method, derived from Density Matrix Renormalization Group (DMRG), provides a significant reduction in computational effort ...

By adjusting Ga's doping in Cu–Sn alloy, an ultra‐high elongation of 100.8% is achieved in first time. Ga forms a stable solid solution structure and a stronger electron exchange with Cu. This enhances strength‐ductility synergistically by tuning SFE to balance twinning and slip.

Fractional generalized Burgers’ fluid flow due to metachronal waves of cilia in an inclined tube
In this study, the cilia-induced flow is discussed for fractional generalized Burgers’ fluid in an inclined tube. The mathematical model of fractional generalized Burgers’ fluid flow is obtained under the long-wavelength approximation.

Models of Passive and Reactive Tracer Motion: an Application of Ito Calculus
By means of Ito calculus it is possible to find, in a straight-forward way, the analytical solution to some equations related to the passive tracer transport problem in a velocity field that obeys the multidimensional Burgers equation and to a simple ...

Helix Alignment, Chevrons, and Edge Dislocations in Twist‐Bend Ferroelectric Nematics
The recently discovered twist‐bend ferroelectric nematic (NTBF) is the new member of the multiferroic family, representing a fluid with an oblique helicoidal (heliconical) periodic structure of spontaneous electric polarization. The work presents a thorough exploration of the material properties of this phase, how the periodic modulation of ...

Non-Hermitian Localization and Population Biology
The time evolution of spatial fluctuations in inhomogeneous d-dimensional biological systems is analyzed. A single species continuous growth model, in which the population disperses via diffusion and convection is considered.
