Optimization of pellet design parameters to achieve deep fueling depth in EAST plasma with PAM code

open access: yesNuclear Fusion
Deep pellet fueling depth is necessary to achieve a high-density high confinement operation and to conduct some pellet-related researches in current devices, such as trigger of internal transport barrier, and to achieve high fusion power and tritium burn-

Acetoacetates Derived From Vegetable Oils: A Platform for Tailor‐Made Vinylogous Urethane Foams

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A renewable vegetable oil is converted into acetoacetate‐functionalized precursors for the preparation of catalyst‐free vinylogous urethane foams. Room‐temperature foaming with n‐pentane generates lightweight cellular materials, while the choice of amine enables control over foam structure and mechanical properties.

Patient Reported Experiences at a Swedish National Burn Centre

open access: yes, 2022
Previous studies have shown that burn patients were satisfied with the received care. Satisfaction was not strongly associated to burns or to psycho-social characteristics, suggesting that other factors, related to burn care specific aspects, may be ...

Architecture‐Driven Functional Coupling in Vertically Aligned Nanocomposites

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Vertically aligned nanocomposites define a growth‐engineered architecture in which vertical interfaces, strain fields, defect pathways, and phase connectivity are created simultaneously. This review shows how these architectural features couple ferroic, optical, ionic, electrochemical, and device responses, establishing design rules and open challenges

Burn-induced apoptotic change was mitigated by iNOS deficiency.

open access: yes, 2017
At 3 days after burn or sham-burn, mRNA levels of Bax and FasL, DNA fragmentation and cleaved caspase-3 were increased by burn injury in wild-type (WT) mice, all of which were mitigated in iNOS knockout (iNOS KO) mice.
