The correlations and anticorrelations in QPO data [PDF]

open access: yesAstron.Nachr. 326 (2005) 864-866, 2005
Double peak kHz QPO frequencies in neutron star sources varies in time by a factor of hundreds Hz while in microquasar sources the frequencies are fixed and located at the line \nu_2 = 1.5 \nu_1 in the frequency-frequency plot. The crucial question in the theory of twin HFQPOs is whether or not those observed in neutron-star systems are essentially ...

The effects of classic and variant infectious bursal disease viruses on lymphocyte populations in specific-pathogen-free White Leghorn chickens [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
Infectious bursal disease virus (IBDV) is a pathogen that primarily infects B lymphocytes in domestic avian species. This viral infection has been associated with immunosuppression, clinical disease/mortality, and enteric malabsorption effects.

Spontaneous Cloacal Prolapse in a Farm Ostrich (Struthio camelus): Case Management and Literature Review

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 11, Issue 1, January 2025.
A 10‐week‐old female ostrich was presented with a cloacal prolapse accompanied by decreased serum calcium. Surgical management with a temporary purse‐string suture, followed by postoperative care with vitamin–mineral supplementation including calcium, and nutritional adjustments led to an uneventful recovery.

Perubahan Malonaldehida Hati, Bobot Relatif Bursa Fabricius dan Rasio Heterofil/Limfosit (H/L) Ayam Broiler yang Diberi Cekaman Panas

open access: yesMedia Peternakan, 2009
The objective of the research was to determine the influences of heat stress and temperature-exposed time on liver malonaldehyde (MDA), relative weight of bursa fabricius and heterophil/lymfocite ratio of broilers.

IMMUNOSUPPRESSION IN BROILERS EXPOSED TO INCREASED TEMPERATURE [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, 1998
Effect of prolonged and intermittent exposure to increased atmospheric temperature on the immune responses was studiedexperimentally in 154 broilers. It was observed that 40 ± 1 ° C for 29 days, 12 h.

Abiotic stressors in poultry production: A comprehensive review

open access: yesJournal of Animal Physiology and Animal Nutrition, Volume 109, Issue 1, Page 30-50, January 2025.
Abstract In modern animal husbandry, stress can be viewed as an automatic response triggered by exposure to adverse environmental conditions. This response can range from mild discomfort to severe consequences, including mortality. The poultry industry, which significantly contributes to human nutrition, is not exempt from this issue.

First-principles study of orthorhombic CdTiO3 perovskite [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
In this work we perform an ab-initio study of CdTiO3 perovskite in its orthorhombic phase using FLAPW method. Our calculations help to decide between the different cristallographic structures proposed for this perovskite from X-Ray measurements. We compute the electric field gradient tensor (EFG) at Cd site and obtain excellent agreement with available

Pathogenicity And Molecular Characteristics Of Infectious Bursal Disease Virus Isolates Of Nepal [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
Infectious bursal disease (IBD) outbreak in chickens was first reported in Nepal in 1991. The objective of this study was to identify, characterise and determine the pathogenicity of IBD virus (IBDV) isolates of Nepal.

Genetic and Biological Characteristics of Gruid Herpesvirus 1 Isolated From Wild Cranes Affected by Inclusion Body Disease of Cranes

open access: yesTransboundary and Emerging Diseases, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
Inclusion body disease of cranes (IBDCs) is fatal in many cases and reportedly caused by a herpes‐like virus labeled as gruid herpesvirus 1 (GrHV‐1). Although GrHV‐1 has been isolated from IBDC‐affected cranes, it has not been genetically classified because its genome has not been partially or fully sequenced.
