Ensuring QOS Guarantees in a Hybrid OCS/OBS Network [PDF]
The bursting aggregation assembly in edge nodes is one of the key technologies in OBS (Optical Burst Switching) network, which has a direct impact on flow characteristics and packet loss rate. An optical burst assembly technique supporting QoS is presented through this paper, which can automatically adjust the threshold along with the increasing and ...

A Type II Radio Burst without a Coronal Mass Ejection [PDF]
Type II radio bursts are thought to be a signature of coronal shocks. In this paper, we analyze a short-lived type II burst that started at 07:40 UT on 2011 February 28. By carefully checking white-light images, we find that the type II radio burst is not accompanied by a coronal mass ejection, only with a C2.4 class flare and narrow jet.

The ROTSE-III Robotic Telescope System [PDF]
The observation of a prompt optical flash from GRB990123 convincingly demonstrated the value of autonomous robotic telescope systems. Pursuing a program of rapid follow-up observations of gamma-ray bursts, the Robotic Optical Transient Search Experiment (

This study presents a novel implantable drug delivery systemwith a biodegradable poly(caprolactone) membrane and compressed drug core forsustained release. These implantable devices deliver risperidone in vitro for 170 days and in vivo for 49 days in rats, showing promise for chronic conditions like schizophrenia.

Lopsidedness as a tracer of early galactic assembly history [PDF]
Large-scale asymmetries (i.e. lopsidedness) are a common feature in the stellar density distribution of nearby disk galaxies both in low- and high-density environments. In this work, we characterize the present-day lopsidedness in a sample of 1435 disk-like galaxies selected from the TNG50 simulation.

This study reports a novel strategy for preparing a biocompatible adhesive hydrogel crosslinked with a muscle tissue‐derived extracellular matrix (MEM) for in situ muscle regeneration. As a natural crosslinker, MEM not only mediates combinatorial polymer networks but also stimulates satellite cells to induce a cell‐free therapeutic solution.
