Coordinating Business Cycles [PDF]
We develop a quantitative theory of business cycles with coordination failures. Because of demand complementarities and increasing returns, firms seek to coordinate production and multiple equilibria arise. We use a global game approach to discipline equilibrium selection and show that the unique dynamic equilibrium exhibits multiple steady states ...

Electrochromic Adaptive Solar Heater and Sub‐Ambient Passive Daytime Radiative Cooler
An electrochromic Cu–Bi nanocluster device dynamically switches between solar heating and daytime sub‐ambient radiative cooling without mechanical motion. Defect‐activated graphene, minimized electrolyte loss, and pulse‐assisted reversible electrodeposition enable opposite solar and mid‐infrared modulation in one opaque platform, establishing a design ...

Growth and Business Cycles [PDF]
We present a class of convex endogenous growth models and analyze their performance in terms of both growth and business cycle criteria. The models we study have close analogs in the real business cycle literature. We interpret the exogenous growth rate of productivity as an endogenous growth rate of human capital. This perspective allows us to compare

Durability of Soft Pneumatic Actuators: A Review and Benchmarking Protocol
Lack of durability is a key challenge hindering the broad scale adoption of soft pneumatic actuators (SPAs) in automation industries. This review provides a comprehensive overview of existing research on SPA durability, introduces a standardized durability benchmarking protocol to consolidate the testing of SPAs, and outlines promising directions for ...

ABSTRACT Infected diabetic wounds are sustained by a vicious cycle of hyperglycemia‐driven bacterial infection, persistent oxidative stress, and excessive inflammation, which collectively disrupt the ordered progression of tissue repair. Here, we engineered a stage‐adaptive Janus microneedle patch (MN‐FeSAC‐PPE) to enable a staged therapeutic process ...

EMPLOYMENT AND THE BUSINESS CYCLE [PDF]
This paper investigates the differences in the cyclical dynamics in employment on non‐agricultural payroll (ENAP) and total civilian employment (TCE), and the implications for monitoring US business cycles in real time. We find that employment measures have diverged considerably around the last three recessions and subsequent recoveries.

Multimetal Prussian blue analogues (PBAs) are converted by low‐temperature Ar annealing into a cavity/CN‐vacancy architecture that triggers in situ Ni exsolution, creating dense Ni‐PBA interfacial motifs. These motifs optimize water dissociation and H* adsorption in alkaline media, delivering markedly accelerated HER kinetics and long‐term stability ...
