Seasonal Habitat Selection by a Threatened Ungulate in an Industrializing Boreal Landscape

open access: yesAnimal Conservation, EarlyView.
Understanding habitat selection by Threatened wood bison in landscapes characterized by anthropogenic disturbance is important for conservation planning. During summer and winter, bison selected for linear (e.g., roads, seismic lines, pipelines) and polygonal (e.g., well sites) disturbances, unless there were high densities of linear features.

The International Guideline for the Definition, Classification, Diagnosis and Management of Urticaria

open access: yesAllergy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This update and revision of the international guideline for urticaria was developed in accordance with the methods recommended by Cochrane and the Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development and Evaluation (GRADE) working group. It is an initiative of the Global Allergy and Asthma Excellence Network (GA2LEN) and its Urticaria and ...

Frequency and Severity of Allergic Reactions to Non‐Mandatory Labelled Allergenic Foods—Data From Two Large European Cohorts

open access: yesAllergy, EarlyView.
In two large European cohorts, 589 reactions to non‐mandatory labelled plant‐based foods were identified with sunflower seed, pine nut, pea and lentil as the most frequent triggers. Reaction severity was not different between mandatory and non‐mandatory labelled allergenic foods. Their frequency and rising trends (e.g., fenugreek, pumpkin seed) support

Successful simplified genomic profiling of cytology specimens using Aspyre Clinical Test for Lung (Tissue)

open access: yesCancer Cytopathology, Volume 134, Issue 7, July 2026.
Cytology specimens from patients with non–small cell lung cancer were tested using Aspyre Clinical Test for Lung (Tissue) and the results compared to an orthogonal assay. 84/85 samples passed quality control, and all detected variants matched expected results including SNVs from KRAS, SNVs and indels from EGFR, MET exon 14 skipping and gene fusions in ...

Modeling maize growth and development in temperate and tropical agro‐climatic systems using MAIZSIM

open access: yesAgrosystems, Geosciences &Environment, Volume 9, Issue 2, June 2026.
Abstract MAIZSIM is a mechanistic maize (Zea mays L.) crop model with a two‐dimensional finite element‐based soil simulator, known for its detailed process‐based representation and minimal calibration requirements. While the model has been extensively applied in temperate agro‐climatic systems, its use in tropical areas has not been explored.

A Structural Design Concept for a Multi-Shell Blended Wing Body with Laminar Flow Control

open access: yesEnergies, 2018
Static and fatigue analyses are presented for a new blended wing body (BWB) fuselage concept considering laminar flow control (LFC) by boundary layer suction in order to reduce the aerodynamic drag. BWB aircraft design concepts profit from a structurally

Simulating Future Dynamics of a Groundwater‐Fed Lake in Central Europe: Integrating Modeling and Machine Learning Approach

open access: yesWater Resources Research, Volume 62, Issue 6, June 2026.
Abstract Freshwater systems in Central Europe are increasingly vulnerable to climate change and anthropogenic pressures. This study investigates future dynamics of Lake Groß Glienicke, a groundwater‐fed lake experiencing rapid water‐level decline in recent decades.

BGN/MDK Axis in the Melanoma Tumor Microenvironment Strengthens Tumor Malignancy by Modulating Cancer Cells and Cancer‐Associated Fibroblasts Crosstalk

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 28, 18 May 2026.
This study reveals that m6A regulators cooperatively upregulate BGN in melanoma, promoting malignancy. Within the tumor microenvironment, CAFs show highest BGN expression. The BGN/MDK axis mediates cancer‐stroma crosstalk, driving normal fibroblast (NF) activation and enhancing the pro‐tumor effect of CAFs, highlighting a promising therapeutic target ...

Investigation of Improvement Design on Aileron Surface Flow State of High Lift Configuration in BWB

open access: yesAerospace, 2022
The aileron is one of the most important tools for adjusting the roll attitude of the aircraft, but the surface flow state of the aileron is likely to be affected by high-lift devices.
