Gender dynamics of tropical wildmeat systems: A systematic map of women's roles and influence

open access: yesPeople and Nature, EarlyView.
Abstract Wildmeat is a vital natural resource globally, which must be managed sustainably to avoid livelihood insecurity, species decline and biodiversity loss. Women have a pivotal role in harvesting, processing and distributing wildmeat, yet their contributions are often overlooked.

Social‐ecological signatures in plant species composition across Swiss cities and urban green space types

open access: yesPLANTS, PEOPLE, PLANET, EarlyView.
Cities can harbor greater plant diversity than other ecosystems, yet how city sociocultural factors may determine differences in plant composition across equivalent urban green space types remains understudied. Here, we compare plant communities in five main urban greenspace types across three Swiss cities representing the country's French (Geneva ...

Downsize Effect on Photocatalytic Syngas Production of a 2D Metal Organic Framework—Tuning the Selectivity From HER to CO2RR via Dimensional Modulation and Mechanical Exfoliation of 2D Metal‐Organic Layers

open access: yesSmall Methods, EarlyView.
A cobalt(II) 2D MOF (2D) has been downsized by covalent bond breaking to form a 1D MOF (1D) and by sonication, to form a 2D exfoliated MOF (2D‐ex). Photocatalytic CO2 reduction shows that 2D and 1D lead to H2‐enriched syngas, whereas 2D‐ex leads to CO‐enriched syngas.

Evaluating the Energy Efficiency of Optimization Techniques in C, Python, and Java

open access: yesSoftware: Practice and Experience, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Software plays a critical role in modern society, but its energy consumption is a growing concern. This issue is especially evident in the Internet of Things (IoT), which involves billions of devices operating under strict energy constraints, most of which rely on C Programming Language (PL) because of its energy efficiency. Outside

Designing Participatory Systems Interventions for Behavioural Change: Integrating Soft Systems Methodology, the Theory of Planned Behavior, and Experiential Learning

open access: yesSystems Research and Behavioral Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Small and medium‐sized enterprises (SMEs) operate within complex sociotechnical systems where behavioural change is shaped by interdependent cognitive, social and structural factors. This study examines a participatory systems intervention with food and beverage SMEs in a coastal tourism context in Vietnam.

From Patterns to Attractor‐Like Modes: A Systems Sensemaking Framework for Recurring Conflict in Healthcare Teams

open access: yesSystems Research and Behavioral Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Recurring conflict in healthcare teams frequently persists despite well‐intended interventions (Page et al. 2024; Mazzei et al. 2024). Dynamic systems theory helps to map how such recurrences reflect systemic feedback loops linking individual experience, behaviour, shared beliefs and organisational structures, supporting intervention design at

125 years of exploration and research at Gough's Cave (Somerset, UK) 125 ans d'exploration et de recherches à Gough's Cave (Somerset, Royaume‐Uni)

open access: yesJournal of the Royal Anthropological Institute, EarlyView.
Our understanding of the recolonization of northwest Europe in the period leading up to the Lateglacial Interstadial relies heavily on discoveries from Gough's Cave (Somerset, UK). Gough's Cave is the richest Late Upper Palaeolithic site in the British Isles, yielding an exceptional array of human remains, stone and organic artefacts, and butchered ...

Availability of a Keystone Plant Resource Reduces Niche Overlap and Drives Distinct Species‐Specific Changes in Niche Breadth Among Small Rodents

open access: yesIntegrative Zoology, EarlyView.
We investigated how three rodent species respond to the seasonal availability of Araucaria angustifolia seeds. While Oligoryzomys spp. increased seed consumption and abundance during seed production, the more insectivorous Akodon paranaensis maintained a broader diet.
