Profitability Assessment of Precision Agriculture Applications—A Step Forward in Farm Management
Profitability is not given the necessary attention in contemporary precision agriculture. In this work, a new tool, namely ProFit, is developed within a pre-existing farm management system, namely ifarma, to assess the profitability of precision ...

Upper Critical Field of Pressure-Induced Superconductor EuFe$_2$As$_2$
We have carried out high-field resistivity measurements up to 27\,T in EuFe$_2$As$_2$ at $P$\,=\,2.5\,GPa, a virtually optimal pressure for the $P$-induced superconductivity, where $T_\mathrm{c}$\,=\,30\,K.

Nudged-elastic band method with two climbing images: finding transition states in complex energy landscapes [PDF]
The nudged-elastic band (NEB) method is modified with concomitant two climbing images (C2-NEB) to find a transition state (TS) in complex energy landscapes, such as those with serpentine minimal energy path (MEP).

Effects of weak anchoring on C1 and C2 chevron structures [PDF]
We present a theoretical study of the effect of weak anchoring on the transition between C1 and C2 chevron structures in smectic C liquid crystals. We employ a continuum theory which allows for variable cone, azimuthal and layer tilt angles.

Embedding a precision agriculture service into a farm management information system - ifarma/PreFer
Today, bridging precision agriculture (PA) with farm management is a high priority. To respond to this challenge, a precision fertilization service for extended crops, namely ‘PreFer’ (developed by 'Ecodevelopment' enterprise), was embedded as a new ...

Dissimilation of the C2 sulfonates [PDF]
Organosulfonates are widespread in the environment, both as natural products and as xenobiotics; and they generally share the property of chemical stability. A wide range of phenomena has evolved in microorganisms able to utilize the sulfur or the carbon moiety of these compounds; and recent work has centered on bacteria.

We investigated the temperature dependence of the upper critical field [$H_{c2}(T)$] of fluorine-free SmFeAsO$_{0.85}$ and fluorine-doped SmFeAsO$_{0.8}$F$_{0.2}$ single crystals by measuring the resistive transition in low static magnetic fields and in ...

Centrosymmetric molecules as possible carriers of diffuse interstellar bands
In this paper, we present new data with interstellar C2 (Phillips bands A-X), from observations made with the Ultraviolet-Visual Echelle Spectrograph of the European Southern Observatory.

Mapping the evolution of mitochondrial complex I through structural variation
Respiratory complex I (CI) is crucial for bioenergetic metabolism in many prokaryotes and eukaryotes. It is composed of a conserved set of core subunits and additional accessory subunits that vary depending on the organism. Here, we categorize CI subunits from available structures to map the evolution of CI across eukaryotes. Respiratory complex I (CI)
