Synthesis of the C20-C32 tetrahydropyran core of the phorboxazoles and the C22 epimer via a stereodivergent Michael reaction.

Organic Letters, 2012
A stereoselective synthesis of the C20-C32 tetrahydropyran core of the phorboxazoles has been achieved in only seven steps and in a 31% overall yield. The C22 epimer was also synthesized.

Use of selected ion monitoring for detection of tuberculostearic and C32 mycocerosic acid in mycobacteria and in five-day-old cultures of sputum specimens from patients with pulmonary tuberculosis.

Acta Pathologica Microbiologica Scandinavica Section B Microbiology, 2009
Gas chromatography/mass spectrometry and selected ion monitoring (SIM), employing both electron (EI) and chemical ionization (CI), was used to detect 10-methyloctadecanoic (tuberculostearic) and 2, 4, 8, 8-tetramethyloctacosanoic (C32 mycocerosic) acids ...

Role of encapsulation of Na+ and F- ions on the Diels-Alder reactivity of C32.

Journal of Physical Chemistry A, 2012
The density functional theory (DFT)-based Becke's three parameter hybrid exchange functional and Lee-Yang-Parr correlation functional (B3LYP) calculations have been performed to understand the role of encapsulation of Na(+) and F(-) ions on the Diels ...

Role of four-membered rings in C32 fullerene stability and mechanisms of generalized Stone-Wales transformation: a density functional theory investigation.

Physical Chemistry, Chemical Physics - PCCP, 2011
Density functional theory (DFT) methods have been applied to study C(32) fullerenes built from four-, five-, and six-membered rings. The relative energies of pure C(32) fullerenes have been evaluated to locate three most stable structures, 32:D(4d) with ...

C32. A New Proposed Anti-collision Algorithm for RFID

2013 30th National Radio Science Conference (NRSC), 2013
Abstract-Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) systems are used in a variety of applications to uniquely identify physical objects. However, the most popular problem that always faces RFID systems is the collision between several tags that are present in the interrogation zone of a single reader at the same time. So, the reader will receive data, which
