A Provincial Perspective of Nonlinear Okun’s Law for Emerging Markets: The Case of South Africa
A provincial analysis of Okun’s law in South Africa is provided in this article from 1996 to 2016. Empirically, we rely on the nonlinear autoregressive distributive lag (N-ARDL) model whilst the Corbae-Ouliaris filter is used to extract the ‘gap ...

Thirring sine-Gordon relationship by canonical methods [PDF]
Using the canonical method developed for anomalous theories, we present the independent rederivation of the quantum relationship between the massive Thirring and the sine-Gordon models. The same method offers the possibility to obtain the Mandelstam soliton operators as a solution of Poisson brackets "equation" for the fermionic fields.

An efficient silylative kinetic resolution of acyclic secondary benzylic alcohols was achieved using chlorosilanes and new axially chiral guanidine catalysts bearing a methoxy group. Comprehensive Summary New chiral guanidine catalysts having axial chirality containing a methoxy group were synthesized. Subsequently, their catalytic ability was examined

On the Multi Trace Superpotential and Corresponding Matrix Model [PDF]
We study N=1 supersymmetric U(N) gauge theory coupled to an adjoint scalar superfiled with a cubic superpotential containing a multi trace term. We show that the field theory results can be reproduced from a matrix model which its potential is given in terms of a linearized potential obtained from the gauge theory superpotential by adding some ...

In rat germ cells and spermatozoa, sphingomyelin (SM) contains molecular species with nonhydroxy (n) and 2-hydroxy (h) very-long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids (V), the most abundant being SMs with (n- and h-) 28:4n-6, 30:5n-6, and 32:5n-6 as acyl ...

Measuring Dynamics of Risk and Performance of Sector Indices on Zagreb Stock Exchange
Investors are interested in sector diversification on stock markets among other important portfolio topics. This paper looks at five sector indices on Croatian capital market as an example of a small, relatively illiquid market.

Area Preserving Transformations in Non-commutative Space and NCCS Theory [PDF]
We propose an heuristic rule for the area transformation on the non-commutative plane. The non-commutative area preserving transformations are quantum deformation of the classical symplectic diffeomorphisms. Area preservation condition is formulated as a field equation in the non-commutative Chern-Simons gauge theory.

Reactions of 1,4‐diborinine derivatives with CO2
The reaction of CO2 with seven molecules featuring a 1,4‐diborinine central ring has been studied by means of Density Functional Theory calculations. The selected systems present five‐ and six‐membered aza rings surrounding the 1,4‐diborinine with neutral, anion and dianion charges. In all cases, the reaction is exothermic and exergonic.
