Dislocations behavior due to surface hardening in grinded C45 steel
Abstract Grinding is often used for machining because it allows for high dimensional and shapes accuracy as well as low surface roughness. Modern technologies of grinding steel with ferritic-pearlitic structure combine the cutting process with simultaneous surface hardening.

Lithium metal batteries offer high energy density, but require safer, more stable, and sustainable electrolytes. Per and polyfluoroalkyl substances‐free polymer electrolytes based on poly(diallyldimethylammonium) bis(fluorosulfonyl)imide, N‐methyl‐N‐propylpyrrolidinium bis(fluorosulfonyl)imide, and lithium bis(fluorosulfonyl)imide, reinforced with ...

The schematics illustrates a nongassing online electrochemical mass spectrometry approach that suppresses electrolyte‐derived species and cross talk, enabling direct attribution of gas evolution to carbon at high potentials. Scanning electron microscope images highlight distinct carbon morphologies, and the method reveals that CO2 formation increases ...

Abstract Metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) is a major public health concern, largely driven by the high‐fat, high‐sugar and low‐fibre Western diet. The Western diet is often accompanied by binge drinking, or the rapid consumption of alcohol in a short time leading to a blood alcohol concentration of ≥0.08%.

Fatigue strength of inner knurled interference fit joined by forming and cutting methods
The joining of machine parts by plastic forming is a common method for transmitting forces and torque. In drive trains, the knurled interference fit has a high transmission capacity through the combination of frictional connection and form fit.
