Targeting Post‐Irradiation Thyroid Dysfunction: Electrospun Scaffolds As A Dual‐Action Approach for Antioxidant and Immune Modulation

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Radiation‐induced hypothyroidism follows head and neck radiotherapy due to oxidative stress and inflammation. Electrospun polycaprolactone scaffolds containing adenosine have potential to modulate thyroid repair. Scaffolds enhance thyrocyte proliferation, antioxidant enzymes glutathione peroxidase and catalase, reduce senescence and apoptosis markers ...

Comparison between Centcor CA 125 and CA 125 II assays.

open access: yesEuropean journal of gynaecological oncology, 1997
Second generation CA 125 assays are expected to replace the original CA 125 assays soon. This study compares the Centcor CA 125 II and the original Centcor CA 125 assays in 50 women: 34 with gynecologic cancers, 5 with benign conditions and 11 healthy. The serum values obtained by both assays were not statistically different and showed high correlation

Circulating tumour DNA and CA-125 kinetics during chemotherapy.

open access: yes, 2016
(A) TP53MAF and CA-125 kinetics from start of treatment, normalised to the pre-treatment levels. Asterisk denotes one treatment course where the patient developed new brain metastases. Yellow circles and blue boxes indicate nadir points.

Infusible Extracellular Matrix Biomaterial Enhances Cell‐Specific Pro‐Repair Responses Following Acute Myocardial Infarction

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
We measure the cell‐specific responses of administering infusible ECM (iECM) in acute myocardial infarction (MI) across multiple timepoints. Using single‐nucleus RNA sequencing and spatial transcriptomics, we measure macrophage activation, fibroblast remodeling, increased vascular development, lymphangiogenesis, cardioprotection, and neurogenesis ...

Measurement of CA-125 in Trophoblastic Disease

open access: yesGynecologic Oncology, 2000
Physicians treating hydatidiform mole are still seeking means of identifying those patients who will require chemotherapy. The standard accepted method is to follow human chorionic gonadotropin levels but CA-125 measurement has been suggested as a supplement that may be clinically useful. This study was undertaken to validate or refute the one previous

Anticorps monovalents modifiés anti-CA 125 nouveaux inhibiteurs de l'antigène tumoral CA 125

open access: yes, 2003

Ca-125 Monitoring during Chemotherapy for Ovarian Cancer

open access: yes, 1986
Serum CA-125 was determind in 60 patients with variously extended ovarian cancer and monitored during and after chemotherapy. The study indicates that: 1) prechemotherapy CA-125 shows the presence of an active disease with an accuracy > 85%.

Coaxially Electrospun Myocardial dECM‐ Based Nanofibrous Scaffolds Demonstrate Enhanced Cardiomyocyte Biocompatibility

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Our coaxial electrospinning system is capable of incorporating decellularized myocardial extracellular matrix in a core‐sheath configuration, creating nanofibrous scaffolds. These scaffolds, in turn, support the maintenance of functional cardiomyocytes adhered to the surface of these bioactive scaffolds.
