From Inflammatory Bowel Disease to Cancer: Gut Microbiota–Immune Microenvironment Crosstalk and Natural Product‐Based Therapeutic Opportunities

open access: yesCancer Nexus, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), primarily Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, is a chronic relapsing inflammatory disorder of the gastrointestinal tract and an important risk factor for IBD‐associated cancer. Increasing evidence suggests that gut microbiota dysbiosis, epithelial barrier dysfunction, and immune microenvironment remodeling

Tuning the Growth Pattern of Triangular Silver Nanoplates from Lateral to Vertical by Secondary Metal Addition

open access: yesChemPhysChem, Volume 26, Issue 6, March 15, 2025.
What happens, if in the synthesis of flat silver platelets, the slow deposition of silver along twinning faults is disturbed by the addition of a nobler metal? We have looked into it and found a way to fine‐tune the metal deposition in lateral and vertical direction.

Diagnostic Usefulness of Serum CA 125 in Patients with Ovarian Cancer

open access: yes, 1985
Serum CA 125 (an antigen common to most nonmucinous epithelial ovarian carcinoma) were measured in patients with gynecologic disease. CA 125 levels were elevated (34U/ml or higher) in 77.8% (7/9) of ovarian cancer patients.

A Systematic Review on Disease‐Modifying Therapies in Parkinsonian Disorders

open access: yesClinical Pharmacology &Therapeutics, EarlyView.
Parkinsonian disorders, including Parkinson's disease, Lewy body dementia, multiple system atrophy, and progressive supranuclear palsy, are progressive neurodegenerative conditions with no treatment options to slow disease progression. This systematic review provides an overview of evidence of disease‐modifying therapies that have been evaluated in ...

Specificity and affinity of 26 monoclonal antibodies against the CA 125 antigen: First report from the ISOBM TD-1 workshop

open access: yes, 1996
The specificity of 26 monoclonal antibodies against the CA 125 antigen was investigated in two phases of the ISOBM TD-1 workshop. The binding specificity was studied using CA 125 immunoextracted by specific antibodies immobilized on various solid phases,

Payload‐Based Clinical Pharmacology Review of Approved Antibody–Drug Conjugates: Commonalities and Considerations for Streamlined Development

open access: yesClinical Pharmacology &Therapeutics, EarlyView.
Antibody–drug conjugates (ADCs) combine the specificity of an antibody with the potency of a cytotoxic drug. Thirteen ADCs, utilizing seven unique cytotoxic payloads and targeting 11 distinct antigens, are currently approved by the US Food and Drug Administration as of June 2025, representing a rapidly growing and highly promising class of anticancer ...

OMIP‐121: Immune Phenotyping of Canine Peripheral Leukocytes by Mass Cytometry

open access: yesCytometry Part A, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Dogs are a critical non‐rodent species used in preclinical safety studies, particularly, in the pharmaceutical field, due to their physiological, metabolic, and immunological similarities to humans. As such, immunophenotyping of canine peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) plays a crucial role in translational research, immune monitoring,
