α‐Synuclein aggregation landscape from phase separation to neurotoxic intermediates
Alpha‐synuclein aggregation in Parkinson's disease involves a complex landscape of transient intermediates, including oligomers, fibrils and liquid–liquid phase separation (LLPS). A view is emerging in which LLPS maturation into solid‐like condensates may contribute to the formation of neurotoxic species.

Serum miR-16 and CA15.3 combination as early diagnostic biomarkers for breast cancer in Egyptian females [PDF]
Background: Breast cancer (BC) represents one of the most lethal malignancies among women worldwide. MiRNAs play an important role in breast cancer diagnosis and progression. Inconsistent data about the expression level of miR-16 was reported in BC, thus

Evaluation of CEA, TPA, CA 15-3, CA 549 and TPS in the monitoring of metastatic breast cancer
Monitoring the response to treatment in relapsed breast cancer patients is one of the chief uses of tumor markers. Thus far the carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA)-tissue polypeptide antigen (TPA)-breast cancer associated antigen 115 D8/DF3 (CA 15-3 ...

Inositol pyrophosphates are energy‐rich signaling molecules that perform critical functions in cells. Three different families of phosphatases hydrolyze the β phosphate of the inositol pyrophosphate molecules: two have narrow specificities and one is promiscuous.

Serum NSE, CEA, CT, CA 15-3 Levels in Human Lung Cancer
The significance of neuron specific enolase (NSE) was investigated in comparison with other tumor markers (CEA, CT, CA 15-3) used in the diagnosis and treatment monitoring of lung cancer.

CT10 regulator of kinase (CRK) and CRK‐Like (CRKL) are signaling adaptors driving cell adhesion, motility, differentiation, and proliferation. SH2‐domain containing (SH) proteins are enriched in YXXP motifs which when phosphorylated create preferred binding sites for CRK family SH2 domains.

Seawater nutrient and carbonate ion concentrations recorded as P/Ca, Ba/Ca, and U/Ca in the deep-sea coral D. dianthus [PDF]
As paleoceanographic archives, deep sea coral skeletons offer the potential for high temporal resolution and precise absolute dating, but have not been fully investigated for geochemical reconstructions of past ocean conditions.

The process of internalization of the Shiga toxin A subunit via formation of a complex with the Shiga toxin B subunit, which specifically binds to the Gb3 receptor. The peptide is designed to act as a carrier of drugs into cancer cells. Here, we explored the potential of peptides derived from the catalytic A subunit of Shiga toxin (STxA) to be drug ...
