Bioengineered Exosome‐Loaded Immunomodulatory Bioadhesive Spray Reverses Liver Fibrosis and Metabolic Dysfunction That Triggers Beneficial Gut‐Liver Crosstalk in Chronic Fatty Liver Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Umbilical cord stem cell‐derived exosomes encapsulated in an immunomodulatory bioadhesive hydrogel spray enable localized therapy, sustained vesicle delivery, macrophage polarization, suppress systemic inflammation, and mitigate glucose and insulin homeostasis impairments in MAFLD.

Subepidermal Calcified Nodule

open access: yesNishi Nihon Hifuka, 1979

A Programmable Calcification Nanoplatform for Loco‐Regional Calcification‐Immune Hepatocellular Carcinoma Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An in situ‐grown BP‐CaO2 nanoplatform supplies coordinated Ca2+, endogenous phosphate, and oxidative stress to convert tumor calcification from a passive endpoint into an active immune‐remodeling process. Widespread hydroxyapatite deposition is visualized by CT, while multi‐omics reveals MCOLN2 as a calcium‐responsive mediator linking biomineralization

Pathologic Findings in a Case of Pseudolipoma of the Liver, and its Differential Diagnosis [PDF]

open access: yesNational Journal of Laboratory Medicine, 2016
The name pseudolipoma of Glisson capsule is used interchangeably with another commonly used term, hepatic pseudolipoma, the prevalence of which, as mentioned by Karhunen is 0.2%.The mean age of occurrence is 67 years.

QRICH1 Disrupts Endoplasmic Reticulum Homeostasis and Amplifies NF‐κB Signaling in Periodontal Ligament Stem Cells to Exacerbate Diabetic Periodontitis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
QRICH1 has been established as a key factor contributing to impaired osteogenic potential and accelerated apoptosis of PDLSCs in diabetic periodontitis. QRICH1 not only significantly enhances UPR‐associated apoptotic signaling but also amplifies NF‐κB‐mediated inflammatory responses. Its inhibition restores osteogenic capacity and reduces alveolar bone

Subepidermal calcified nodule.

open access: yesThe West Indian medical journal, 2003
Subepidermal calcified nodules are rarely seen and are classified under idiopathic subepidermal calcifications. They commonly affect children. It is most frequently encountered in the face, and it is less common in the extremities. Here, we present a case where the lesion was localized on the knees of a 23-year-old female patient.

Rewiring Pyroptosis to Potentiate Cancer Immunotherapy via a Gasdermin D Agonist Bypassing Caspase‐3

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work introduces a small‐molecule agonist, DIBDO, that bypasses Casp‐3 to directly trigger GSDMD‐mediated pyroptosis in tumors. Activated by glutathione, DIBDO generates singlet oxygen and molecular iodine, blocking Casp‐3 pathways and inducing immunogenic cell death.

Calcified plaques in the radial artery: OCT insight

open access: yesREC: Interventional Cardiology (English Ed.), 2020
The calcified nodule has been established as the least common underlying substrate in the acute coronary syndrome; however calcium can be widely present in other acute-common scenarios.

The Plant‐to‐Plant Circular Strategy: Coupling Photodegradation and Phytoremediation With Plant‐Based Nanomaterials for Plastic Degradation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Plant‐based nanomaterials derived from alfalfa serve as dual‐function catalysts, coupling photodegradation and phytoremediation to degrade polyethylene under UV‐A light and in soil. The nanomaterials work synergistically with alfalfa and soil microbes, achieving efficient plastic breakdown without trophic transfer.

Pulmonary epithelioid hemangioendothelioma accompanied by bilateral multiple calcified nodules in lung

open access: yesDiagnostic Pathology, 2011
Pulmonary epithelioid hemangioendothelioma (PEH) is a rare vascular tumor. It can present either as one solitary nodule or bilateral multiple nodules, usually without calcification. We describe here an unusual case of PEH in a 42-year-old female with a 6.
