Raynaud's Phenomenon Associated With Calcitonin Gene‐Related Peptide Monoclonal Antibody Antagonists
Headache, 2019Two cases are reported of migraineurs who reported Raynaud's phenomenon (RP) exacerbated while taking monoclonal antibodies to the calcitonin gene‐related peptide (CGRP) ligand (fremanezumab and galcanezumab) and 1 case of new onset RP while taking the ...

Amylin, Calcitonin Gene-Related Peptide, Calcitonin, and Adrenomedullin: A Peptide Superfamily
Critical Reviews™ in Neurobiology, 1997The calcitonin gene peptide superfamily consists of calcitonin (CT), calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP), and amylin. CT and CGRP derive from the CT/CGRP gene, which is encoded on chromosome 11. Alternative splicing of the primary RNA transcript leads to the translation of CGRP and CT peptides in a tissue-specific manner.

Calcitonin gene-related peptide as inflammatory mediator
Pulmonary Pharmacology & Therapeutics, 2003Sensory neuropeptides have been proposed to play a key role in the pathogenesis of a number of respiratory diseases such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease or chronic cough. Next to prominent neuropeptides such as tachykinins or vasoactive intestinal polypeptide (VIP), calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) has long been suggested to ...

Calcitonin gene-related peptide and the kidney
Current Opinion in Nephrology and Hypertension, 1994Calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) is a recently discovered neurotransmitter that is extensively localized in fibers innervating vascular and endocrine systems. CGRP possesses potent vasorelaxant effects, and a role for this peptide in the regional regulation of blood flow has been suggested. Although pharmacologic evidence indicates that the renal

[Calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP)].
Presse medicale (Paris, France : 1983), 1994Calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP), a 37 amino acid peptide resulting from the specific maturation processes of calcitonin gene products, was discovered in 1982. Its messenger RNA was isolated from a calcitonin cancer in rats similar to the human thyroid medullary carcinoma.
