Inmunoregulación mediada por Calcitriol

open access: yesRevista de la Facultad de Medicina, 2000
The classical role of calcitriol (1a.,25- dihidroxivitamin D3) on calcium homeostasis is rather well known. Recent findings, of the calcitriol receptor on monocytes, activated lymphocytes and other cell Iines, and the ectopical and localized hormone ...

Impact of Preoperative Calcium and Magnesium Supplementation on Quality of Life and Hypocalcemia Post‐Thyroidectomy

open access: yesEndocrinology, Diabetes &Metabolism, Volume 9, Issue 1, January 2026.
Postoperative QoL improved in both groups, with earlier gains in Graves' disease patients receiving supplementation. Hypocalcemia and hypoparathyroidism rates were lower in the intervention group, which also showed higher calcium levels and fewer symptoms. Vitamin D deficiency was common but unrelated to hypocalcemia.

Vitamin D‐Mediated Hypercalcemia in a Dog With Putative Cutaneous Pythiosis

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 13, Issue 12, December 2025.
ABSTRACT A 12‐month‐old dog was diagnosed with cutaneous pythiosis after presenting with a nonhealing metatarsal wound, an inguinal mass, and regional lymphadenopathy. Both cytology of the abnormal lymph nodes and histopathology of the inguinal mass showed granulomatous inflammation. ELISA serology was positive for Pythium insidiosum. The dog developed
