Vitamin‐Engineered Nanoplatforms in Precision Oncology: Integrating Immunotherapy, Delivery Systems, and Theranostics

open access: yesMedComm – Biomaterials and Applications, Volume 4, Issue 4, December 2025.
Vitamin‐derived nanoplatforms advance precision oncology by augmenting immunotherapy through dendritic cell activation, T‐cell reprogramming, and TME remodeling to enhance antitumor immunity, while enabling targeted therapeutic delivery. These systems integrate theranostic capabilities using vitamin‐conjugated imaging probes for concurrent tumor ...

Near‐infrared fluorescence imaging with indocyanine green to identify parathyroid glands in two dogs undergoing bilateral modified intracapsular thyroidectomy

open access: yesVeterinary Record Case Reports, Volume 13, Issue 4, December 2025.
Abstract This case report describes one dog that underwent bilateral thyroidectomy and another that underwent unilateral thyroidectomy using near‐infrared fluorescence imaging with indocyanine green to visualise the external parathyroid glands to aid in their preservation.

Urinary Calcium and Phosphorus Excretion in Vitamin D‐Sufficient Preterm Infants: Establishing Age‐Specific Normative Data

open access: yesActa Paediatrica, Volume 114, Issue 12, Page 3267-3278, December 2025.
ABSTRACT Aim This study evaluated urinary calcium (Ca) and phosphorus (P) excretion in very low birth weight infants ( < 1500 g, VLBW) without severe morbidity, treated with methylxanthines. Methods Eighty‐one VLBW infants were analysed. Urinary Ca and P and their creatinine ratios were measured biweekly until day 56.

Calcitriol inhibits advanced glycation end product (AGE)-elicited mesangial cell damage by sequestrated RAGE-NF-κB Signaling [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015

Nutritional Deficiencies Following Bariatric Surgery: A Rapid Systematic Review of Case Reports of Vitamin and Micronutrient Deficiencies Presenting More Than Two Years Post‐Surgery

open access: yesClinical Obesity, Volume 15, Issue 6, December 2025.
ABSTRACT Bariatric surgery is the most clinically‐ and cost‐effective intervention for severe obesity. However, without adequate follow‐up, it can lead to nutritional deficiencies. Patients require life‐long nutritional supplements and follow‐up to prevent nutritional deficiencies from developing.

Nutrition Support Interventions for Children and Young People Treated for Osteosarcoma: A Scoping Review

open access: yesJournal of Human Nutrition and Dietetics, Volume 38, Issue 6, December 2025.
Whilst a range of nutrition support interventions for those undergoing osteosarcoma treatment has been studied and interest is growing, the evidence is fragmented, methodologically weak and indicates wide variation in clinical practice. We identify priority research needed to establish evidence‐based clinical practice guidance.

Surgical Treatment for Osteomalacia Induced by Causative Tumor in the Knee Joint Region: A Single‐Center Retrospective Clinical Study Over 10 Years

open access: yesOrthopaedic Surgery, Volume 17, Issue 12, Page 3440-3455, December 2025.
The causative tumor for TIO in the knee joint region is hidden and has diverse locations, resulting in great challenges to endocrinologist and orthopedists. Due to the unique anatomical location and complex structure of the knee joint, orthopedic surgeons can adopt different surgical approaches to completely remove the causative tumor.

Parathyroid hormone-related peptide and vitamin D in phosphocalcic metabolism for dromedary camel [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
In mammals, phosphocalcic and bone metabolisms are mainly regulated by parathyroïd hormone, parathyroïd hormone-related peptide (PTHrP) and 1[alpha],25-dihydroxyvitamin D or calcitriol. In camels, circulating levels of calcitriol are 10 times higher than

World Association for Veterinary Dermatology Consensus Statement for Diagnosis, and Evidence‐Based Clinical Practice Guidelines for Treatment and Prevention of Canine Leishmaniosis

open access: yesVeterinary Dermatology, Volume 36, Issue 6, Page 723-787, December 2025.
Hyperkeratosis of (a) the footpads and (b) the nasal planum. ABSTRACT Background Canine leishmaniosis (CanL) due to Leishmania infantum remains common, and veterinarians do not always follow scientifically sound approaches for diagnosis, treatment and prevention. Objectives To provide consensus guidelines for diagnosis and evidence‐based guidelines for
