Growing single crystals in silica gel [PDF]
Two types of chemical reactions for crystal growing are discussed. The first is a metathetical reaction to produce calcium tartrate tetrahydrate crystals, the second is a decomplexation reaction to produce cuprous chloride ...

Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.

CLCA2 is a positive regulator of store-operated calcium entry and TMEM16A. [PDF]
The Chloride Channel Accessory (CLCA) protein family was first characterized as regulators of calcium-activated chloride channel (CaCC) currents (ICaCC), but the mechanism has not been fully established. We hypothesized that CLCAs might regulate ICaCC by

Preparation, physical-chemical characterisation and cytocompatibility of calcium carbonate cements [PDF]
The feasibility of calcium carbonate cements involving the recrystallisation of metastable calcium carbonate varieties has been demonstrated. Calcium carbonate cement compositions presented in this paper can be prepared straightforwardly by simply mixing

Investigation on influential factors on chloride concentration index of cement-based materials by pore solution expression method [PDF]
In this study, the effects of different factors on chloride concentration index (N-c) of cement paste were studied. The factors including chloride concentration in soaking solution, slag replacement, external applied voltage and cation ions of soaking ...

Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

Comment on "On the $T_S$-Anomaly in Betaine Calcium Chloride Dihydrate"
Recently, Hlinka and Ishibashi [J. Phys. Soc. Jpn. 67, 495 (1998)] discussed the $T_S$-anomaly in betaine calcium chloride dihydrate (BCCD) in a Landau-type approach.

Assessing the extraction efficiency of CaCl2 and rhizon extraction methods after the application of organic matter and CaCl2 as soil amendments to enhance the mobility of Cd and Zn [PDF]
A pot experiment was conducted to study the extractability of cadmium and zinc by CaCl 2 and rhizon extraction methods after the application of organic matter and chloride as soil amendments.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...
