The Equilibria of Calcium and Phosphate Ions with the Micellar Calcium Phosphate of Cow's Milk
Canadian Institute of Food Science and Technology Journal, 1979SUMMARYCalorimetric measurements of the heat of solution of micellar Ca phosphate suggest that this material more closely resembles OH-apatite than amorphous Ca phosphate or any other crystalline form. Preliminary computer calculations of the ionic equilibria of milk salt solutions indicate that, over a wide range of pH and temperature, such solutions ...

AbstractSix different tetracalcium phosphate (TTCP) products were synthesized by solid state reaction at high temperature by varying the overall calcium to phosphate ratio of the synthesis mixture. The objective was to evaluate the effect of the calcium to phosphate ratio on a TTCP‐dicalcium phosphate dihydrate (DCPD) cement.

Calcium phosphate ceramics with sodium‐rich calcium phosphate phases at the surface
Materialwissenschaft und Werkstofftechnik, 2013AbstractCalcium phosphate was prepared by aqueous wet‐chemical precipitation from sodium phosphate and calcium nitrate under standard conditions. By incomplete removal of the mother liquor, the by‐product sodium nitrate remained in the dried powder. Upon annealing at 1150°C, the sodium‐rich phases β‐rhenanite (NaCaPO4) and Na3Ca6(PO4)5 were formed.

XRD Analysis of Calcium Phosphate and Biocomposite Calcium Phosphate/Bioresorbable Polymer
Materials Science Forum, 2006Composite biomaterials based on calcium phosphate ceramic due to their high bioactivity are of interest for biological application and bone tissue repair. Structural and microstructural parameters of inorganic constituent of these materials are very important for the synthesis and characterization of composites.

Characterization of calcium phosphate cements modified by addition of amorphous calcium phosphate
Acta Biomaterialia, 2010In this study the influence of amorphous calcium phosphate (ACP) on the setting of, and the formed apatite crystallite size in, a calcium phosphate cement (CPC) based on alpha-tricalcium phosphate (alpha-TCP) or tetracalcium phosphate (TTCP)/monocalcium phosphate monohydrate (MCPM) was investigated.
