Bioinspired electrohydrodynamic ceramic patterning of curved metallic substrates [PDF]
Template-assisted electrohydrodynamic atomisation (TAEA) has been used for the first time to pattern curved metallic surfaces. Parallel lines of ceramic titania (TiO2) were produced on titanium substrates, convex and concave with diameters of ~25 mm, at ...

The layer‐by‐layer (LbL) assembly of coordination solids, enabled by the surface‐mounted metal‐organic framework (SURMOF) platform, is on the cusp of generating the organic counterpart of the epitaxy of inorganics. The programmable and sequential SURMOF protocol, optimized by machine learning (ML), is suited for accessing high‐quality thin films of ...

Calcium phosphate ceramic coatings as carriers of vancomycin
Infection in the setting of total joint arthroplasty remains a challenging problem. Attention has turned to developing methods of local delivery of antibiotics for prophylaxis. Vancomycin loaded into calcium phosphate ceramic coatings on titanium alloy substrates is a clinically relevant concept in the setting of total joint arthroplasty.
