Improvement the california bearing ratio of expansive subgrade using SiCC column
In Indonesia, many main roads have been constructed on problematic soil. The chemical improvement is widely used to shallow soil modification and stabilization. This paper introduces the use of a SiCC column to strengthen the load-bearing capacity of the

CHARACTERISTIC ANALYSIS OF BEARING CAPACITY WITH LABORATORY CALIFORNIA BEARING RATIO TEST AND UNCONFINED COMPRESSION STRENGTH TEST [PDF]
Construction carried out on soft soil must require serious handling such as selection of the right type or type of foundation or soil improvement. However, during this time the investigation of soil in soft soil areas often has difficulty, the difficulty

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

The Impact of Polypropylene Fibre Addition on the CBR Value
The classic test for soil or aggregate bearing capacity in road construction is the CBR test. The results of the CBR were determined for gravelly sand and sand with the addition of 1.5% cement, as well as for their mixtures with 18 mm long polypropylene ...

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

The Impact of a Geogrid System on Load-Bearing Capacity of Natural Airfield Pavements [PDF]
Natural airfield pavements divide into soil and turf pavements. Turf pavement is a soil pavement covered with a developed grass layer that reduce soil moisture level, thus increasing its' resistance and extending exploitation period.

Effect of Fineness of Soil on California Bearing Ratio Value
Being the bottom- most layer of a road, the sub-grade soil acts as one of the most important load-bearing strata on which the performance and design of a pavement depend essentially. The grain size of soil particles plays a significant role in strength characteristics of the sub-grade as working recommendations vary significantly respecting varying ...
