Call Admission Control for Non-Standalone 5G Ultra-Dense Networks [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
—In this letter, we propose new handoff schemes to reduce the interruption time that occurs during re-connection of an arriving mobile user moving from macrocell to small cell or from small cell to macrocell domains. A new call admission control (CAC)

CD177 Deficiency Defines a Stable Subtype of Human Neutrophil Granulocytes with Tumor Promoting Activity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Human neutrophils exist as two epigenetically imprinted subtypes defined by stable CD177 expression or absence — a ratio that persists across time, circadian rhythms, and inflammation. CD177− neutrophils display a distinct molecular landscape enriched in arginase 1 and lipid metabolism markers, accumulate in head‐and‐neck tumors, and associate with ...

Admission control algorism study of multi-rate traffics for TD-SCDMA system

open access: yesTongxin xuebao, 2012
A call admission control strategy based on traffic priorities was proposed after considering the different rates of traffic requirements and the attributes of different admission requests of services.According to the current system load ,it decides ...

Call Admission Control in Mobile Cellular Networks

open access: yes, 2013
Call Admission Control (CAC) and Dynamic Channel Assignments (DCA) are important decision-making problems in mobile cellular communication systems. Current research in mobile communication considers them as two independent problems, although the former ...

Low‐Power Control Of Resistance Switching Transitions in First‐Order Memristors

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Joule losses are a serious concern in modern integrated circuit design. In this regard, minimizing the energy necessary for programming memristors should be handled with care. This manuscript presents an optimal control framework, allowing to derive energy‐efficient programming voltage protocols for resistance switching devices. Following this approach,

Performance analysis of call admission control algorithm for wireless multimedia networks

open access: yes, 2011
In todays wireless networks different wireless multimedia services have diverse bandwidth and QOS requirements, which need to be guaranteed by the wireless cellular networks. The decision to admit or reject the new user call is made by the call admission

Foreign labor, peer‐networking and agricultural efficiency in the Italian dairy sector

open access: yesAgribusiness, EarlyView.
Abstract While the presence of immigrants in the agricultural sector is widely acknowledged, the empirical evidence on its economic consequences is lacking, especially from a microeconomic perspective. Using the Farm Accountancy Data Network panel data for Italian dairy farms in the period 2008–2018, the present study investigates the relationship ...

DeepMapper: Attention‐Based AutoEncoder for System Identification in Wound Healing and Stage Prediction

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
The authors develop a deep learning model for real‐time tracking of wound progression. The deep learning framework maps the nonlinear evolution of a time series of images to a latent space, where they learn a linear representation of the dynamics. The linear model is interpretable and suitable for applications in feedback control.
