“A Fuzzy Approach for Call Admission Control in LTE Networks”
AbstractThe time-varying nature of the parameters influencing the Quality of service (QoS) of real-time applications means the Call Admission Control (CAC) in LTE networks has to deal with some degree of uncertainty. The existing approaches fail to properly manage this uncertainty.

Border harm and affective injustice: The politics of anger at the Melilla border, Spain
Abstract This article examines protests in a detention center in Melilla, Spain—a site where structural violence intersects with the everyday harms of confinement. Adopting a justice and dignity‐centered perspective, we analyze grassroots forms of resistance emerging at the border. The study focuses on the protests of Tunisian migrants and explores the

Call Admission Control Scheme Based on Statistical Information
A call admission control (CAC) scheme based on statistical information is proposed, called the statistical CAC scheme. A conventional scheme needs to manage session information for each link to update the residual bandwidth of a network in real time. This scheme has a scalability problem in terms of network size.

Clinically Relevant Bleeding in Individuals With Cancer: Insights From a Nationwide Cohort Study
ABSTRACT Cancer care is often complicated by coagulopathy leading to thrombosis and bleeding. While venous thromboembolism (VTE) has been extensively studied, bleeding remains an underestimated threat. To address this knowledge gap, we leveraged the Epic Cosmos database to determine the impact of cancer‐associated clinically relevant bleeding (CRB) in ...

Integration of pricing with call admission control for wireless networks
Traditional CAC schemes that mainly focus on the trade off between new call blocking probability and handoff call blocking probability can not solve the problem of congestion in wireless networks.

VoIP Call Admission Control in WLANs in Presence of Elastic Traffic
VoIP service over WLAN networks is a promising alternative to provide mobile voice communications. However, several performance problems appear due to i) heavy protocoloverheads, ii) unfairness and asymmetry between the uplink and downlink flows, and iii)

ABSTRACT The transformation/transcription domain‐associated protein (TRRAP) gene encodes a large multidomain protein, a member of the phosphatidylinositol 3‐kinase‐related kinase (PIKK) family. TRRAP is a component of the histone acetyltransferase (HAT) complex, and it plays an important role in gene transcription, DNA repair, and cell‐cycle regulation.
