High Efficiency In vitro Whole Plant Regeneration via Desiccated Callus in Oryza sativa cv. MTU1010
For most people across the planet, rice is also considered as most beneficial crops in terms of fulfilling every day's energy and nutritional needs. Worldwide food safety is seriously threatened since severe limitations on rice output caused by both ...

Age-related changes to macrophages are detrimental to fracture healing in mice. [PDF]
The elderly population suffers from higher rates of complications during fracture healing that result in increased morbidity and mortality. Inflammatory dysregulation is associated with increased age and is a contributing factor to the myriad of age ...

Characterization of a reproducible model of fracture healing in mice using an open femoral osteotomy [PDF]
Purpose: The classic fracture model, described by Bonnarens and Einhorn in 1984, enlists a blunt guillotine to generate a closed fracture in a pre-stabilized rodent femur.

Callus remodelling model [PDF]
The objective of this paper is to investigate the healing process of the callus using bone remodelling approach. A new mathematical model of bone remodelling is proposed including both underload and overload resorption, as well as equilibrium and bone growth states. The created model is used to predict the stress-stimulated change in the callus density.

Identification of Callus Induction Potential of 15 Indonesian Rice Genotypes
The callus induction potential of 15 indica rice genotypes from Indonesia was examined in comparison with that of the japonica rice Nipponbare. Callus was induced from embryos of mature seeds and root segments on MS and CI media.

In Vitro Organogenesis of a Slipper Orchid, Paphiopedilum ‘Alma Gavaert’
The aim of the present study was to improve the regeneration efficiency of callus lines in a slipper orchid, Paphiopedilum ‘Alma Gavaert’. Three kinds of vegetative tissues, root, stem and leaf segments, were used as explants to induce callogenesis; out ...
