Novel Therapy Based on Camelid Nanobodies [PDF]
Nanobodies (Nbs) are small antibody fragments derived from camelid heavy chain antibodies through recombinant gene technology. Their exceptional physicochemical properties, possibility of humanization and unique antigen recognition properties make them excellent candidates for targeted delivery of biologically active components.

SpyCatcher‐mi3 nanoparticles displaying RBD‐SD1 from MERS‐CoV, NL140422, and HKU4 elicited robust and cross‐reactive IgG responses in mice. Only MERS‐CoV RBD‐SD1 induced neutralizing antibodies against MERS‐CoV and protected human DPP4 mice from a MERS‐CoV challenge, indicating conserved serologic but limited cross‐neutralizing epitopes.

Social Sustainability in Circular Bioeconomy Business Models: Insights From Argentina
ABSTRACT Research on circular bioeconomy business models (CBEBM) has largely prioritised environmental and economic aspects, leaving out the social pillar. To address this gap, this paper analyses to what extent and in what ways social sustainability is integrated into CBEBM, based on 12 cases from northern Argentina, a region with high potential for ...

Pairing Alpaca and Llama-Derived Single Domain Antibodies to Enhance Immunoassays for Ricin
Previously, our group isolated and evaluated anti-ricin single domain antibodies (sdAbs) derived from llamas, engineered them to further increase their thermal stability, and utilized them for the development of sensitive immunoassays. In work focused on

Abstract Background Determination of the serum progesterone (P4) concentration is of high importance in reproductive medicine and may be applied for diagnosing pregnancy in South American camelids. P4 measurements in alpacas and llamas are usually performed using immunoassays, which are time consuming and require appropriate expertise of laboratory ...
