Journal of Clinical Laboratory Analysis, Volume 40, Issue 17, September 2026.This study evaluated a direct PCR assay for rapid Candida auris screening from skin swabs using two transport media. The direct PCR assay demonstrated high sensitivity (92.0%–96.0%) and rapid turnaround time (~3 h). Liquid Amies medium showed a more favorable specificity profile, supporting its practical utility for screening.
