Grape Stalks Valorization towards Circular Economy: A Cascade Biorefinery Strategy

open access: yesChemSusChem, EarlyView.
A cascade protocol for grape stalks valorization has been proposed, characterized by a multidisciplinary strategy using unconventional techniques and subcritical water as a green solvent, where physical/chemical treatments synergistically interact with biological treatments to obtain added value products from all the biomass components.

Highly Isoselective Polymerization of rac‐Lactide by Zinc Complexes of Sequential Tetradentate {ONNN} Ligands

open access: yesChemSusChem, EarlyView.
Zinc complexes of a new family of sequential {ONNN} ligands are introduced and employed for the ring‐opening polymerization of rac‐lactide. The pyridine‐amine‐imine‐phenolate complexes lead to a rare combination of very high activities and isoselectivities yielding stereomultiblock poly(lactic acid) while their isomers are less active and essentially ...

CANE: The Content Addressed Network Environment [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2007
The fragmented nature and asymmetry of local and remote file access and network access, combined with the current lack of robust authenticity and privacy, hamstrings the current internet. The collection of disjoint and often ad-hoc technologies currently in use are at least partially responsible for the magnitude and potency of the plagues besetting ...

Assessment of frailty in patients with heart failure: A new Heart Failure Frailty Score developed by Delphi consensus

open access: yesESC Heart Failure, Volume 12, Issue 3, Page 1818-1831, June 2025.
The HFFS is a new multidimensional tool for the identification of frailty in patients with HF developed through a Delphi process involving 54 international experts in the management of HF and frailty. Two versions of the HFFS have been developed after the third round of the Delphi process.

Power‐to‐Ethanol Using Bimetallic Catalysts: Reaction Paths, Transfer to Gas Diffusion Electrode, and Future Perspectives

open access: yesElectrochemical Science Advances, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Ethanol is a promising product for the carbon dioxide reduction reaction (CO2RR), as ethanol as a value‐added product can help to enable the near‐term feasibility of this technique, thus Power‐to‐ethanol can act as a pioneering process for the CO2RR.
