Reversible interaction between Ca2+‐activated neutral protease (CANP) and its endogenous inhibitor [PDF]
The interaction between the Ca2+‐activated neutral protease (CANP) and its endogenous inhibitor was analyzed. The interaction was completely reversible, and both CANP and the inhibitor regained full activity after dissociation of their complex.

Autonomous landing of an UAV on a moving platform using Model Predictive Control [PDF]
This paper proposes a linear Model Predictive Control (MPC) for high-accuracy tracking of a mobile robotic platform, in an indoor environment. The mission is divided into three main phases: target detection, target tracking and autonomous lading.

Effects of Fertilizers and Manures on Temporal Yield Variability of Winter Rye
The anticipated increases in environmental variability associated with climate change may lead to enhanced abiotic plant stresses (e.g., heat stress, drought stress, etc.) resulting in greater inter-annual yield fluctuations and higher crop production ...

Fodrin degradation by calcium-activated neutral proteinase (CANP) in retinal ganglion cell neurons and optic glia: preferential localization of CANP activities in neurons [PDF]
The activity of calcium-activated neutral proteinases (CANPs) toward endogenous substrates was measured in axons of retinal ganglion cell (RGC) neurons and separately in adjacent optic glia under in vitro conditions that preserved the ultrastructure and anatomic relationships between these cellular elements.

Mechanisms for the maintenance and eventual degradation of neurofilament proteins in the distal segments of severed goldfish Mauthner axons [PDF]
Cellular mechanisms that might affect the degradation of neurofilament proteins (NFPs) were examined in the distal segments of severed goldfish Mauthner axons (M-axons), which do not degenerate for more than 2 months after severance.

μ-calpain binds to lipid bilayers via the exposed hydrophobic surface of its Ca2+-activated conformation [PDF]
μ- and m-calpain are cysteine proteases requiring micro- and millimolar Ca2+ concentrations for their activation in vitro. Among other mechanisms, interaction of calpains with membrane phospholipids has been proposed to facilitate their activation by ...
