Measuring the Configurational Heat Capacity of Liquids
Physical Review Letters, 2007A high electric field impedance experiment on supercooled molecular liquids is employed to transfer energy to the slow modes by absorption from the field and detect the increase of their "configurational temperature", T(cfg), via the change of the relaxation times.

Configuration-Dependent Heat Capacity of Pairwise Hydrophobic Interactions
Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2001Hydrophobicity is of central importance to many branches of chemistry, ranging from the low aqueous solubilities of hydrocarbons to properties of polymer solutions, encompassing a broad range of physicochemical and biomolecular phenomena such as the formation of colloid, molecular aggregates, micelles, vesicles, and biological membranes, as well as ...

Ladder ising spin configurations. I. Heat capacity
physica status solidi (b), 1996AbstractWe consider a ladder Ising spin model (with two coupled Ising spin chains), characterized by two couplings (interchain and intrachain couplings), to study in detail, in an analytical way, its thermal behaviour and particularly the variation of the specific heat versus temperature, the ratio of interaction constants, and the magnetic field.

The Change Capacity of Organisations: General Assessment and Five Configurations

Configurational heat capacity and entropy of borosilicate melts
Journal of Non-Crystalline Solids, 1997Abstract The heat capacities of a soda-lime silicate and four borosilicate glasses and liquids have been determined from drop-calorimetry measurements made between 450 and about 1700 K. Between 850 and 1000 K, the glass transition takes place when the glass specific heat, Cp, approaches the Dulong-Petit limit.
