We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

On the capacity region of the two-user Interference Channel [PDF]
One of the key open problems in network information theory is to obtain the capacity region for the two-user Interference Channel (IC). In this paper, new results are derived for this channel. As a first result, a noisy interference regime is given for the general IC where the sum-rate capacity is achieved by treating interference as noise at the ...

In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Blahut–Arimoto Algorithms for Inner and Outer Bounds on Capacity Regions of Broadcast Channels
The celebrated Blahut–Arimoto algorithm computes the capacity of a discrete memoryless point-to-point channel by alternately maximizing the objective function of a maximization problem.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Locally-Generated Revenue as A Capacity Parameters of New Regional Autonomy Management
Non-human resources play a role in the implementation of the New Autonomous Region (DOB) one of which is the financial resources of the region. In order for the financial capacity of the region can be managed optimally then the appropriate method is to ...

On the Capacity Region of Multiple Access Channel
The capacity region of a multiple access channel is discussed. It was found that orthogonal multiple access and non orthogonal multiple access have the same capacity region under the constraint of same sum power.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Turning dilemmas into opportunities: a UNU/SCN capacity development network in public nutrition in Central and Eastern Europe [PDF]
Capacity development in nutrition is a process whereby individuals, groups, institutions, organizations and societies enhance their abilities to identify and meet challenges in a sustainable manner. To address these issues, in 2001 the UN System Standing
